    - Monthly budget report shows debt that isn't anywhere else If I run reports>Monthly Budget, I show an expense under the DEBT category that is not anywhere in my budget. By this, I mean if I go to the budget planner and edit the current budget, the debt is not there. If I look in Bills & Deposits, it is not there. If I re-open all my closed debt accounts, put them into the debt planner, then go to tools>options>planner and select "reset debt plan", the expense Still shows up I think I've covered all the bases of most posts I've read, so if anyone can give me some ideas It would certainly help out.     - MONEY 2003 died have been running 2003 for more than year. Purchased as download from MS who followed up with mailed disk. Cannot get it to load now instead it attempts to "install" and runs into error "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that in unavailable" please use feature "C:\docume~1\gatewe~1\locals~1\temp" and then a follow up error msg "error 1706. No valid source could be found for product Microsoft Money 2003. The windows installer cannot continue" it then attempt to install over and over and over in continues loop.     - Bank transaction can't be split properly A mortgage payment is downloaded from the bank into Money 2004 Deluxe as one transaction. When I try to split it into the principle and interest the loan account is not showing up on the list of accounts so I can't assign part of the payment to the loan. The error is telling me that a file is missing please re-install from the original disks. I've removed the program and tried a few times to install.     - Money 2004 budget problem i am setting up a budget in 2004. I have a loan account that we paid off. This loan keeps showing up in my budget under debt evev though there is a zero balance and the account is closed. It shows the regular payment amount and i have tried everything possible to get it out of there.     - Money 2004 Freezes IE 6 SP Browser Hello: I'm using Money 2004 Canadian version and I've noted that it seems to cause IE 6 SP to freeze sometimes. I've tried making the MS Browser the preferred browser in MS Money, as well as using "my default browser" which of course is IE 6 SP but it doesn't seem to matter. To be more precise, it seems that sometimes when Money is open, the IE window freezes and in fact, you cannot even "ALT-TAB" over from Money to IE.     - MS Money 2000 - Updating quotes I bought my copy of Ms Money 2000 whilst in the US. I moved back to the UK and changed the base currency to GBP.     - Cost of Goods Sold I have tried to find information on cost of goods sold for Microsoft Money 2004 Small Business. I was able to setup COGS accounts in Quickbooks but seems like there is no ability to add these type of accounts to the Money program. Am I missing something?     - Standard v. Deluxe I am a long-time Money user. I have always used the Standard Edition. I am now ready to upgrade to 2004 and it looks like the standard version no longer supports investment tracking, as prior standard editions have.     - Archive problems with Money 2002 I have searched through this forum for topics related to archiving and I did not see one with my particular issue. the general gist of the posts that I have seen, however, is to avoid archiving. That said, I'm hoping that someone has a better answer. I will try to be brief: When I tried to archive my transactions today, I noted immediately that my bank account balance went to negative $ 15k. Several of my credit card accounts were also badly messed up. Upon further research, it seems that any transaction associated to the cash portion of my brokerage account was not being archived. All other transactions were archived. I didn't try to sort through the hundreds (thousands?) of transactions to come up with a trial balance, but this seems to be the root cause. 1. I am sure that I selected all accounts to be archived during the archive process. 2. I am sure that none of my investment accounts appeared in that list. 3. My Money file is up to about 20 MB and I really would like to get rid of some of the older transactions (date less than 1/1/2003). Is there something that I can do?     - Unable to download into Money Delux 2004 I had my Money 2004 working properly, so that downloads in Money OFX format from my bank would automatically trigger the function in Money that prompted me to import the file. However, for some reason, this has now stopped working. When I am in my bank's website, and click on the download to Money option, it flashes what appears to be the download window, and then completes, but a) never gives me the file save/open option and b) Money sits quietly running in the background and does not recognize a file waiting for its attention.     - A little budget understanding, please I am a new Money 2004 user after using Quicken for 10 years. I have noticed the monthly bills I have assigned dollar amounts to show up in the Budget planner. Underneath these routine bills, another budget entry is there entitled "other expenses for . . . ." If I leave the "other expenses for {whatever monthly bill I have setup} blank, it shows up during the review of the budget with no amount budgeted for that catergory. Even though I have a dollar amount setup for the monthly bill. However, if I enter the same dollar amount as the monthly bill, it than shows a subtotal double the amount I am really having to pay. And it effects my bottom line as far as realistic total expenses. Also is there a way to delete more than one Payee at a time? With the hundreds I have, I wanted to wipe most of them out. Thank You!     - ms Money 2002 I have to do reports for our CPA, and he doesn't want to see irrelevant transactions. I put them in a catagory that I would like to see all these transactions in ONE catagory. In other words......the s-distributions just listed all together, with a total. It keeps separating them, and he doesn't need to know how much I spent at the grocery store, or how much I spent on my utilities. He only wants to see a TOTAL for that catagory.     - Best Buy credit card & Debt Reduction Planner How do I get my Household Bank / Best Buy credit card information added to my debt reduction planner? If I made a major purchase on their zero interest financing for 18 months plan, and they only want a very low minimum payment each month until then, then I need to somehow indicate that the remainding balance no matter how high it is, absolutely must be paid by the 18th month. Otherwise, they will go and add on a lot of interest for all of the previous 18 months. When I indicate to Microsoft Money that an intro rate is in effect of 0.0% until May of 2005, then the only option it gives me for what shall happen at the end of this is a new fixed interest rate for from there on out. Is there no way to indicate that on that date if a balance remains then it will back-date the interest for 18 months worth? I tried just feeding it some false data to trick it into thinking that it would be more important to pay that card off by the 18th month than some of the other ones. For example, I tried telling MS Money that the fixed rate after the 18th month is 100%.     - setting up an escrow account in the mortgage setup My mortgage, as do most, has an escrow payment each month that is included in the payment of principal and interest. I have always following bookkeeping procedure and set this up as an account (not expense category). The money is paid into the account and when taxes, insurance etc is due it is disbursed. In setting up my Home Mortgage I can find no way to do this in Money. The only thing it provides for is setting up a Category and this is not the proper way to handle it. There is no other choice since the drop down list to assign this portion of the payment is only the Categories with no Accounts to chose from. Any help much appreciated.     - downloaded transactions dates are changing back to 2003 Here is an example: I made a payment to my credit card account on 01/02/04. The payment posted and Money *correctly* downloaded the transaction, with the proper date, and matched it to the existing transaction in the register. All is good so far. Today, I go to update from online statements and it downloads the same transaction again, but with a 01/02/03 date?!?!? And this isn't the first time this has happened.
