Hello, I've just read that there is a small possibility that Etrade
may file for bankruptcy. I have 2 investment accounts and one RRSP
(like 401 k) account with Etrade Canada; if it does go bankrupt,
what's that mean to me? Professional help is sincerely appreciated.

From E*TRADE's website:

IS MY BANK ACCOUNT INSURED?

Deposits at E*TRADE Bank are insured up to $100,000 by the FDIC.

Besides FDIC, you have SIPC on your non-bank securities.
