reinstall Money 2003
I've recently needed to add a another hard drive (going to
reformat the old drive due to numerous problems). My Money
2003 resides on the old one. I don't see the setup file

I am using Money 2004 Deluxe. I sold some June call options months
ago, the value of the call options have steadily dropped since then,
which means profit in my favor, so Money has been correctly
calculating the returns (annual, YTD, etc), up until Friday, when June
options epxired. So on Friday, I entered a transaction for the call
option to expire them, but now, under the returns, there is "N/A"

After a system reinstall I was having the dreaded "sign-in unsuccessful"
problem with Passport. A Google search turned up several suggestions, none
of which worked until I found Dick Watson's post on Feb 7th which, among
other things, suggested re-registering msxml3.dll (regsvr32 msxml3.dll).
This fixed me!
As to what may have screwed up the registration in the first place, I can
only speculate that it may have had something to do with the fact that I
installed Visual Studio.NET 2003. Knowing how big VS is on XML, it may have

MSMONEY Reinstall
for some reason, my money 2003 file when opened says that
money has not been installed correctely which is wrong.
Its been on the system for months and has worked
flawlessly... The back up says the same thing... The

Adding Child Support as an expense - Money 2004
I've found out that Money 2004 has "Child Support
Received" listed as an available income, but I am unable
to find something like "Child Support Paid" in the
expenses. The closest I've found, is Child Care.

All right first I was getting the cannot enter transactions
then I reinstalled money and then did the checksku and it
said that those 3 .dll files are missing. Could that be the

When closing Money 99 it always asks me if I want to
disconnect from the internet, if I am connected. How do I
stop it from asking? I don't use the internet with Money,
but if I am connected at the time I am using Money it asks

MM02 inists on changing the payee for downloaded transactions. How do I
stop it from doing this?
Let me try to explain better...
I have a bill set up for my ISP. This is for $24.95 and is from AT&T. This
is auto-entered.
I also rent cars and get charged $24.95 by my credit card provider for
insurance. This is NOT set up as a bill.
Money insists on matching Insurance payments to AT&T payments and then
entering AT&T payments as new transactions. Why does it not match against
the payee?

Transfers between accounts
I am having a problem with transferring money between accounts at different
banks, when I transfer money between accounts at my primary bank (BOA) the
transaction shows up at the same time in each account, money in money out on
the same day, however when I transfer to accounts at other institutions (or
pay a credit card) there is a lag between the time the money leaves BOA and
when it shows up somewhere else, usually about 1-3 days. This causes
problems when I download statements from both places, if I mark the money
leaving BOA as a transfer to the other account then the money is added to
that account register immediately, then when I download the statement from
the account that I am transferring to it shows up twice in the register...
this can be a real hassle to track down and fix. Any suggestions?

Upgrading to Money 2004 from Money 2000
I downloaded the USA version of Money 2004 Deluxe tonight but when trying to
convert from Money 2000 Deluxe I get an error on import stating "Money
cannot open this file because it was created with an incompatible version."
The version I am running currently us Microsoft Money 2000 Deluxe Version
8.0 I have been using this for a few years and figured it was time for an
upgrade. I do not want to loose the last couple of years of data. 2000 still

Budget Problems in money
When I setup the budget amounts, they show incorrectly in
the budget screen. If i put in $50 for cellular, it will
say $100 in the budget screen. This happens in several
categories. In credit card, it is supposed to be 155, but
it shows 240. I tried creating a new budget, but that

Can't get Money to run after spyware infiltration
I had a problem with spyware getting onto my machine and
causing havoc. I managed to clean it up with Spybot and a
few other tools, but now when I go to run MS Money 2004 I
get an error message saying the Money is not installed
correctly. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Money but
it did not help. The uninstall process worked and the
reinstall process worked (no error messages) but I still
get a "Money is not installed correctly" pop up when I try
to run it.
Does anyone have any insight about how to fix this?

Microsoft Money and Outlook 2003
Does anyone know of a utility, method, or anything that will take the dates
and reminders from Microsoft Money and import them into Outlook's
calaendar/tasks/to-do list etc.
I know theres got to be more people out there who would like to do this. I

Can't convert Quicken qdata file.
I am try to switch from Quicken to Money 2004. When it
trys converting the Quicken I get the following message:
Your Quicken file could not be converted.
You are attempting to convert a corrupted Quicken file.
Try reindexing your Quicken file by clicking File
Operations from the File menu, and then clicking
Validate. Then try converting it again.
Have tried validating the quicken file but no change. I
don't want to lose all the data I have in Quicken. Any
suggestions???

Grrr...Budget and Debt in Money 2004
Whenever I create a new budget, things seem to be just right. In the "Enter
Your Expenses" screen of creating a new budget, all of my loan payments
(car, house, studen loans) show up under the budget group Debt. These are
scheduled monthly bills to the mortgage company, banks for the car loans,
student loans, etc. They showed up here automatically as I would expect.
Now, whenever I finish the budget and then go in to look at my current
status against the budget, things get very bizarre. When I'm looking at my
actuals vs. my budgeted amounts I see a "Special" budget group that has two
entries. The first is Debit and the second is "transfers out of budget
accounts".
For the budgeted amount of the debts category for the month of June, I only
see 171.55. Whenever I created the budget, the debt was approximately $3k.
If I look at the budget status for next month, the debt amount changesto
1532.08 which is still well short of what it showed when I created the
budget.

Hi,
I have some money in a foreign account (in british pounds), is there a way
to track how this currency is doing compared to the euro?
I have an account set up with the gbp amount in it, is there a report that
would show how the pound is doing over time?
I tried setting up some sort of investment, since that would download the
current conversion rate, but I failed at that.
Anyone have an idea?

Reconciling Bank Statements
Is it possible to have Money not put the check mark next to the transactions
when reconciling. I wind up having to clear them all one at a time to
figure out what is cleared and not cleared on my bank statment.

Password stopped working in MSMoney 2004
This morning I sign on, and it says Password Incorrect. This is a Passport
account, so I went to 2 other sites on the Internet that require Passport
login, and my user account and password are fine. I deleted all the Cookies
and temp files on my PC, still no luck. I just tried again, about 4 hours
later, same thing.
What should I do? The only thing I can think of, is maybe the file us
corrupt try the backup? Are there any other ideas of things to check or why
this would fail? I use it every day, I have been on this version since
January...
