I do this on my PC.
Have and like the look and feel of M2001 and I did buy M2004 (to see if
better reports etc)
I do NOT like the look of M2004 - my screen has stuff I do not care to see .
I prefer to see more of MY data than unused fields.
I have a C:\Program Files\M2001 and a C:\Program Files\M2004 folder
I first exported from data 2001 to a backup file in the M2004 folder.
I then imported the file into M2004 (so at that point they both had the
same data)
I download my info , so I open each and update once a month - each
separately.
From one of my banks websites, I do logon and display my history and then
EXPORT data as OFC - Money 2001 recognizes that and wakes up to import.
I then EXPORT as QFX file and save to my desktop . When I open M2004 , I
then import that file - I select which account it is (money market ,
checking, charge card ) - and it loads right up.
Works great.
