I have been very cautious about starting online banking but decided to take
the plunge. I upgraded my Money 2001 to 2006 and signed up with my bank. I
have read the help file and did some searching for tutorials to no avail for
my problem.
What I dont understand is how having my check register which I enter
transactions in manually and now a check register my bank has downloded will
save me time. Do I need to balance both? Make entries into both? I just can't
get wrapped around this.

Thanks for any help,
Sam

At this point, I think you are saying you have two accounts for the
same real account. What you want to do next is from the account list
choose MergeDuplicateAccounts. You will get a scary looking warning
about losing older transactions, but it does not normally work that
you lose transactions.

Once merged, you can enter transactions, and Money, with some help,
should match transactions to what you entered. Or you may find
yourself entering transactions by hand less.

Thanks for the help. I was scared to merge as I have brought a few entries
over to the online version and it ended up with two instances. The goal here
was to cut down on work. Maybe once I get all the online bills set up I will
see some benefits.

Thanks again,
Sam
