I have been getting this error since upgrading from M2004 on Friday. I've
read through the group and it appears there are several different types of
synchronization errors that folks are experiencing. I have tried removing
all of my accounts from Moneycentral and the re-adding them, but after
saying I'm not updating online, I continually see the Updates are
temporarily unavailable message under the MSN Money Synchronization.

Is this the same error everyone has or a new one? Thanks in advance.

I few other here have that issues. We'll see what happens. I turned it in to
MS last night via the web. No reply yet.

My Solution (though not really a solution) was to cancel
my Passport, re-apply for it (which gets rid of ALL MSN
sync'd data), reopening my Money 2004 file and have it
converted, and re-synching. After that, all updates
worked with no problems. It seems if the MSN Data gets
corrupted there is no real recovery mechanism. My fear is
what if this happens months from now with tons of changes
to my local file.

The trouble with this method is that if you have a Billpay account
associated with your Passport, you'd also have to cancel Billpay and start
over.

Exactly, and I have a Billpay account which is why I haven't tried this
particular work around...
