I have a new computer with Money on it. My old computer
has files from and earlier version of money. How do I
get the files from my old money into the new computer?
Once I find the old files in the old computer, where do I
put them into the new computer so money can find them.
Since I have already done the setup assistant and it has
not asked for the old files, will I have duplicates? I
have set up no balances yet and posted no transactions.

on the old computer look under the File - Backup location.
or search for .mny files. this is your backup file.
on the new computer you can put the .mny file where you
wnat it. i keep mine on usb plugin 32mb drive h.

Gee, I really don't want to backup Money to floppies once a day just to
remember to post the "Hey, read the FAQ" posting to the NG.

Too bad OE can't be programmatically accessed from .VBS or similar--if it
could, I could just set the thing up as a scheduled task. Maybe I need to
offer a prize to the Windows programmers who frequent the newsgroup for a
posting bot that could take care of this? I could probably solve this given
enough time and motivation, but my backlog of programming projects like that
is pretty long.
