Does Money 2005 permit the adding of a transaction type such as INST XFER,
instrument transfer, so that I don't have to type it in every time. I use
paypal and would like to have this option instead of debit, because the money
comes out of my checking account. If not in 05, can you do it in '07?

I don't believe anything changed in this area between 05 and 07

I am not sure what you are asking. I was going to answer a question
earlier that I then decided was not related to your question.

If you are asking how to do an account Transfer from checking to
Paypal account, switch to Advanced register. Then under the SPECIAL
heading, choose Transfer:nameOfAccount as the category. You can do
that from either account.

If you are trying to make an abbreviation to get you to enter a
Transfer easier than using the drop down list, I don't think you
can.

Like for withdrawls, if you click on number in the transaction forms it has choices of atm, debit, next check number and print this transaction. I would like to add other options to it and need to know if that is possible. Thanks.

It's not.

If you don't want to type "INST XFER", don't type it. Instead settle
for typing IX or even X.

But why not just leave it blank as most people do on a transfer?
Instead switch the register to multi-line display with Ctrl+T. Then
you can see the category, which could be a transfer.

You can type in any text you wish, but you can't add an entry to the combo
box list.
