    - chance of a lifetime found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought, "Yeah right, this must be a scam", but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 to each of the 6 names and address stated in the article. You then place your own name and address in the bottom of the list at #6, and post the article in at least 200 newsgroups. (There are thousands) No catch, that was it. So after thinking it over, and talking to a few people first, I thought about trying it. I figured: "what have I got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00, right?" Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!!... within 7 days, I started getting money in the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $25.00. By the end of the second week I had made a total of over $1,000.00! In the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's certainly worth $6.00, and 6 stamps, I have spent more than that on the lottery!! Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works.... Also, make sure you print a copy of this article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it.     - Duplicate Downloaded Statement Good Afternoon, All... I have a very elementary question, but, one that has me stymied. I am running M98 and have just downloaded and imported a bank statement. The problem is that I downloaded over a month's worth of information that I already had done. I don't know what will happen to my register if I go through and clear these items as Money is trying to get me to do. Is there a way that I can get rid of the statement that Money is trying to get me to read? Or, will 'clearing' the items as usual have any effect on my register?     - Automatic addition to payee list I travel all the time in a motorhome, and use Visa for most expenses. I download my Visa transactions as QIF files and import them into Money 2003. My problem is that Money automatically adds each new payee to the list of payees. My list of payees just keeps growing and Growing and GROWING..... Does anyone know of a way to stop the automatic addition to the list? I know I can manually remove them, I would just rather they weren't added in the first palce.     - Fund Price Update My issue is different than the price update problems I have read here. MSN Money.ca's fund price is simply out-of-date. For example, the search for TML705 (a Templeton fund) shows the last nav price was Dec.3 Today is Dec.8 The last nav should really be Dec. 5 (Friday).     - Invoices in Money2004. What is the secret of printing invoices in Money2004? I've tried three or four, and end up with text-over-text and other positioning problems. They do *not* look like the kind of low-buck-but-still-professional invoices I wanted to send out. I'm using Money2004 Small Business (v12). Windows Me. Printing to an HP LaserJet 5p. Everyone has their favorite problem with Money, but for me it's always been the printing, going back to Money98.     - Saving Budgeted Amount For yearly bills. Hi all, I have been using Money 2001 and could never figure this out properly and I have now upgraded to Money 2003. It has frustrated me a lot, and I am hoping that someone out there with better knowledge can help. I have a MAIN account and a SAVINGS account. I have yearly bills (Car Reg/Insurance etc) and I have entered them into my budget. Money says that I should spend $x.xx per week on these items but as I am only billed yearly I wish to transfer this money into my savings account so not to spend it. Then when the bill comes and 12 months have past I will have enough in there to pay the bill. The problem I am finding is that I don't SPEND the money each week and only TRANSFER it so much budget says I have lots of money left over to spend when really it is non-available funds. Is it possible to document how much money is transferred from the budgeted amount into a savings account and also keep the categories so I know there is $x.xx in the Car Reg category, and $x.xx in the Car maintenance category? I need to separate sales that are taxable from the tax exempt ones. On the invoice it can be marked taxable or not but I need the sales completely separated. IOW the vast majority of my sales are tax exempt as they are out of state sales. I must be able to get totals of the taxable & non taxable sales for the sales tax report & payment. I tried to set up sub categories in sales but haven't found how to send the invoice to a subcategory instead of direct to sales.     - Duplicate Stock Dividends Hello all, I am a new user of Money 2004. I used Money 2002 but did not use the portfolio management part of the software before. I have been using Money 2004 for about a month now and have been setting up all the linking features (between Money, MoneyCentral and my brokerages accounts) offered for the Portfolio Management capabilities available in Money. I am using Money 2004, the Premium edition if that makes any difference and Windows XP Home on a Pentium 3 computer. I just noticed today that there are several duplicate transaction entries for many of my recent stock dividends. One of my brokers, Schwab, provides an automatic link between my accounts there and Money 2004 and I use that feature. If dividends are generated they automatically show up in Money. Another of my brokers, FOLIOfn, does not provide an automatic link capability so I have to import a QIF file to move dividend data from the accounts at FOLIOfn to Money. I perform this import once a week. I have Money synchronized with my MoneyCentral portfolio and I suspect the dividends are being imported from the MoneyCentral dividend database, but the direction I have synchronization set for is Money2004 ---> the MoneyCentral portfolio, so it is my understanding that my Money file could not be receiving any dividend data from the MoneyCentral portfolio, only vice versa. I know that MoneyCentral will automatically collect dividend data for the stocks I own and, yes, I do have it set that way (to collect the dividend data, that is) in my MoneyCentral portfolio. However, again, since the direction is from Money to MoneyCentral during synchronization, I do not see how the duplicate dividend data could get into my Money file. Now that I think about that, I probably need to turn off the dividend update in MoneyCentral anyway. I still have it set that way from before I recently started using Money to do all my dividend data updating. I have two questions: Question 1: Is there a place within the options I can set in Money2004, that I can designate that Money is to import dividend data to the Money file or not to import it? If there is, I have yet to find such an option. If I could find the option, I could turn it off and stop the duplicate dividends. Actually, I like that the dividends automatically appear even though I don't know how Money is getting them form the online database in MoneyCentral. Actually, I would prefer using the automatic dividend feature, as apparently such a feature does exist, but that causes a problem when I import my QIF file from FOLIOfn or from Schwab since there is no way at the Folio Web Site or the Schwab Web Site to tell the QIF download NOT to include the dividend data, but to include all other transactions. Question 2: How have any of you solved this problem, if, in fact, you have it? Is it as simple as turning off a feature in Money 2004 or am I missing something else? I will certainly acknowledge any answers I get with a big "thank you" and to let others know if the solution you provided works.     - money password problem I have money 2000, I downloaded money 2004 trial version to see if it had a feature I was looking for. It didn't so I went to restore money 2000 and get rid of 04'. Now when I try and open my backup file it prompts me for a password. I never have had a password in money. I tried going back to 04, saving a backup with a password and opening it in 00. I put in the password I created and it doesn't accept that one.. Any way to just reset the password??, or some other workaround. thanks Tag: Status bar display; Money 2004 Deluxe Tag: 155478

Hello:
The reading for the Dow Jones Industrials in the Status bar display at
the bottom of the screen in Portfolio Manager has not changed in about 3
weeks, while the Nasdaq and S&P 500 work correctly and are updated daily
when I update prices. How can I fix this?
