    - Can't see payees in the pay to drop down list I have used money since 2000. I'm having a problem seeing the drop down list in the pay to area of the form in my money 2003 program. It was working fine until I changed my windows theme, and used a theme from themesxp.org. I've changed back to the original theme, and even uninstalled the money program and reinstalled.     - Tracking Escrow I write a check every month for mortgage. There are three parts - Principal, Interest and Escrow. I want to maintain a seperate escrow account so that I can track expnses in that account seperatly.     - Handling Roommates in MS Money? Hi all Does Microsoft Money allow you to adjust your budget planning for a roommate? It seems that I can either include all my cash outlays and include all the money he pays me (in which case my budget isn't really accurate, at least in terms of the percentage for each category), or I can omit him altogether and cut all my apartment-related outlays in half, in which case I can't track them all very well Is there any other solution?     - Selling my house I have sold my house and want to close the "house" account. In doing so, I want to pay off my mortgage, line of credit and trnasfer to excess to my banking accounts. However, when I try to create a transaction where I decrease the value of the account by my sales price, with splitting it between the three above mentioned areas, I do not see the mortgage account in the drop-down menu.     - Only one biweeekly deposit seen by budget setup Hope someone can help me out here. I get paid biweekly and that's how I have it set up in Money 2002 and I don't have any problems with it. I recently tried to set up a budget and my salary appears under income and it is listed as occurring biweekly but it only used one of the deposits to calculate my total monthly income. Can anyone tell me why it's ignoring one of my biweekly deposits? If I get the details on my salary, it shows the correct monthly amount (approx twice one pay check). At first I thought it was because at the time I was doing this, I had only received one pay check that month so I waited and tried again after my second check had arrived but no dice, it still showed my income to be equivalent to only one of the biweekly deposits. I tried to add a second salary deposit but it wouldn't let me which it shouldn't, but I was desperate. One thought just came to me, I don't have my salary entered automatically, I have it setup in "Pay or Record Bills and Deposits" but I enter it manually. Could this be the reason?     - MS Money 2004 Debt Reduction I've been experiencing weird things with debt reduction. I'm simply trying to enter in a credit card account and have it tell me when I'll have it paid off if I pay "this much" money a month towards it. The numbers it gives me through are not right at all. For instance, at the beginning I add in a credit card account that has a balance of $1,057 at an interest rate of 10.9%. I tell it I want to be out of debt by 05/18/04 with zero one time payments and this is what I get... "With payments averaging $5.00 and an extra payemtn of $0 you will be out of debt by Mar 18, 2004. With this plan, you will save $0 in interest charges over the minimum payment plan, and a $100.00 purchase will cost you approximately $100.95." This is obvsiously not correct. No way I'm paying that off in 3 months with $5.00 payments. So then let's say I change it to say that I'm going to pay $400.00/mo, so when will I be out of debt. Then it stays on Mar, 18 for some reason and gives exact numbers as to what I'll end up paying..."a 100.00 purchase will cost 100.95." What's going on with this?     - Tax Line Manager shows incorrect salary and tax projections Hi - The Tax Line Manager shows the correct Year to Date Salary amount but for some reason, the Projected Total for 2004 is way off. When I drill down to the projection details, it includes my projected quarterly bonus but not the regular salary (taxable income) amounts for the rest of the year. Same issue with the W-2 tax categories - the projection includes the taxes for the quarterly bonus but not the regular salary.     - Small business version There appears to be a Schedule C bug in MS Money 2004 Small Business. If you run a tax report to display Schedule C transactions, and you have selected the CASH (rather than accrual) method, Money will still list open - unpaid - invoices as revenue.     - Repeated Budget Transaction I have one monthly automatic payment that is always repeated 4 times in my budget. Money will not allow me to remove the individual entries. I can remove the budget category - which causes the budget to be incorrect.     - Money 2002 "Pay To" Erop Down Not Working Properly In Money 2002, the drop down for entering the "Pay To" field into the register has stopped working. Until recently, I didn't experience any problems with this. I notice the following: If I add a new payee in the "Set up your payees" screen, then the added payee shows up in the registers pay to drop down but only if there are no transactions yet for the new payee.     - Access My Money Data on the Web I am trying to upload my Money information to MSN money. All the instructions state as I have copied below: "To enable MSN Money synchronization: In Microsoft Money on your desktop, click Access My Money Data on the Web on the Tools menu.     - Two Checking Accounts in Money I have set up two checking accounts within Money 2003. Both of them are set up with my financial institution. When I go to download my latest transactions from either account, it automatically goes into only one of my checking accounts in Money. How do I tell Money which checking account that specific download should be imported into?? I have tried allowing Money to open by itself after the download, but it still goes into only the one checking account. I cannot select which account that particular download is for.     - OFX statement download now need to SAVE instead of OPEN The problem: Bank of America offers the option to download statements from their website. I used to be able to ask for the download and get the typical Internet Explorer dialog about whether to "OPEN" or "SAVE" the file. I would click "OPEN," the .OFX file would process, and Money would say "IMPORT COMPLETED." For the past several weeks, this has been broken. I can "OPEN" the file all I want, but Money does not process it. If I "SAVE" the file to my harddrive instead as a .OFX file, and then double-click on that file, Money correctly processes the file. What has changed? Any ideas? It's a pain to have to save and then delete the file. (As an aside, I wish BofA would switch to allowing immediate downloads of statements without having to use the website, as Fidelity, Fleet, and many other banks do.) Thanks in advance.     - Temporarily run from laptop I currently run Money 2004 on my desktop PC which we also sync with my PocketPC. I will be going away for a couple of weeks and I would like to install Money 2004 on my laptop and use it from there for a couple of weeks and then transfer the data file back to the desktop PC and go back to using it there.     - Online Banking Setup and SNRTINET.INI As I have read in so many posts, I am experiencing the same problem with SMRTINET.INI on Money Updates with Money 2004 Deluxe.     - No Audio Device This problem started happening about a week ago. I installed Money 2004 about a month ago. Then, all of the sudden, everytime I open Money 2004 now, it takes like a whole minutes before I can start using it. Also, the most disturbing part of the problem is that once it loads, my sound card stops working. If I go to "Sounds & Audio Devices" in Control Panel, it says "No Audio Device." I can't play any sounds, at all, after I run Money until I reboot. The funny thing is that the sound card is still present in Device Manager. Anyone have any ideas or has anyone else had this problem? Extra info: the last two things I installed before that started happening was MS Office 2004 System and Panda Antivirus. I checked my computer for viruses and spyware and removed whatever I found. Then, I uninstalled Money, cleaned the registry(manually), removed the folders, profiles, etc. Then, I reinstalled Money and started a fresh Money file and it still does the same thing.     - Assigning Categories to Payees Can you assign a category to a payee at the payee level instead of at the transaction level? I've been searching through the newsgroup and can't find a post specifically about this. Granted, it's not on the payee information screen, but I thought I'd ask. Bill is $100. Your share is $22. You pocket $78.

Transaction into credit card account is split like this:
Food:Dining Out $22
Transfer:(pocket change account) $78
Total transaction $100
