I have Customized my Spending by Category Report to not include Taxes and
some other stuff (under the Reports tab).

However, I also have the Spending by Category report show up on my Home
Page. This report does not include the customizations I made under Reports,
so it shows ALL categories.

Anyone know how to make the Home Page report be the same as the other one?

Thanks!

Hi,

The report on the home page is not customizeable. I believe this is rather
meant to give you a general overview of your spending. Infact if you watch
closely at regular intervals the all the homepage charts refresh. This also
happens each time you move to a different page and come back to the home
page.

I'd call it 'spending' but would not call it 'discretionary spending'. I
find that the effect of reports of that type being on the home page is
simply to slow down Money. My customized home page isn't barren, but it is
pretty simple. It's just favorite accounts and pending bills and deposits.
Between having customized my shortcuts on the top bar, and the links in the
left pane, I can get to other data within a click or two.

That works for me. It might not work for you.

The Home page in Money is useless. I start with the Banking page.

I would say it depends on what income you are using. If gross then
all hits to that is an expense. If net then these government
spendings are already estimated.
