    - Pocket PC says I don't have Money installed when I do I have money 2004 on my XP desktop. (I downloaded the evaluation copy) I have pocket pc 2002 on my pocket pc When I try to install Money for Pocket PC onto the pocket PC it says that I do not have Money installed.     - Synchronization Problem Part 2 I posted an email several days ago indicating I was having trouble with accessing my money data on the web. The problem I've been experiencing is with synchronizing with MSN Money. I just wanted to post an FYI for all that today I called support at MS Money and was informed that this is a problem with Money working with Passport and that the Money team is aware of an issue and is working with Passport to correct it. It apparently is causing both problems for people logging into Money using their Passport account and also the synchronization problem that I am having. The tech indicated that it was sporadic and that some people had no problems, some could only synchronize accounts associated with Billpay and some could not synchronize anything (like me). He said the problem has been ongoing for about 2 1/2 weeks now and that he did not have an anticipated date that the problem would be resolved.     - Reports show wrong month - Money 2004 Whenever I generate a report showing payments for a particular payee, totalled by month, the monthly grouping and total lines always read a month behind the entries totalled. For example, the report might look like this for a particular month: Month Ending 3/31/2003 4/18/2003 John Doe 80.00 4/11/2003 John Doe 40.00 4/4/2003 John Doe 60.00 Total Month Ending 3/31/2003 180.00 And, the months are in reverse order, just as the entries are within a month, though that is less a concern than the incorrect labeling of the monthly groupings and totals.     - Installing Money2004 while having Norton Antivirus While trying to install Money2004, it reports that Norton has a firewall and antivirus that prevents the full installation. I have tried to turn off all scanning options of Norton, but it still shows the same message..... Does anyone know how can I install Money2004 without having to uninstall completely Norton.... or How can I modify the firewall or antivirus options in a way that will allow me to install completely Money 2004.     - Downloaded statements no longer load For months I was logging on to my credit union and downloading statements without any problem; once they downloaded, Money would automatically detect it and load the transactions into the correct Money account. As of 7 to 10 days ago, Money no longer detects the downloaded statements. The statements still appear to download, but then nothing happens. Is there some setting I have to change?     - Invoice calculations I reported to MS Tier I tech service that there was a bug in MS Money Sm Business 2004 in the invoicing area. Specifically, while MsMo allows a number such as $.375 to be entered for a rate or product price, it immediately rounds up that number to whole cents then performs the calculation with the quanity to get the invoice amount. For example to calculate reimbursible mileage at $.375/mile x 100 miles, the amount should be $37.50, yet in MSMo, it will be $38.00. I was shocked when MSFT Tech Support stated that this was not a bug but was by design. QUOTE: Actually, I can reproduce this on my side. When I enter 0.375 as Price/Rate and enter 100 as Qty/Hours, the result turns out to be 38.00. Based on my research, this feature is by design in Money. Bill, I am sorry if this does not meet your requirements. Currently, I suggest that you work around this by adjusting the numbers. ENDQUOTE. I had a big laugh at that.     - Unpredictable results with payee details I'm using Money 2003 and when I download statement information from my bank, I often change the payee details to something more helpful. Having done this, Money 'remembers' the change so that when subsequent items are downloaded, the payee details are automatically changed again. This is a great feature that saves loads of time. Or at least it would be if it worked more reliably. Money seems to have a will of it's own in this area and some transactions have to be changed every time, despite being 100% consistent in my approach and with no change to the downloaded details. Other transactions are consistently assigned to an incorrect category to which I have never assigned the payee. Why does this happen? Is there anything I can do about it?     - Passport Sign-In Problems I have been using MS Money for 6 months now with no problems. Now when I try to sign-in using Passport, I get the following message: "The sign-in attempt for <user-name> was unsuccessful. Please try your sign-in name and password again."     - Sign-in Problems-Money 2004! Greetings! I didn't have this problem in Money 2002 but since I have installed Money 2004, consistently I can not sign in using Passport. Almost seems random: sometimes I can sign in fine, in all accounts; other times, no account will accept the login info, though it is correct. Anybody have any fresh revelation on what is going on? Also, what is the real advantage to using sign-in with Passport? I seem to be able to connect to my various banks websites fine and download any account info.     - Scheduled bills from loan going past term of loan Hope someone can help with this: I have an automobile loan in Money 2000 that I have set up as a monthly recurring bill. This loan will be paid off in 2 months, yet it shows up as a scheduled bill well past this 2 month pay-off date. The loan account shows an accurate balance and it shows that there are 2 payments left. I looked forward a full 12 months and it's still scheduling payments. Did I screw something up to make this recurring bill continue to show up in the Pay Bills section of Money, seemingly forever? Help! TIA, Bryan P.S.     - Unlisted Managed Fund Unit Prices I have a number of unlisted managed funds in my portfolio which require that I enter the unit prices manually. I do this typically on a monthly basis. The unit prices are often quoted to 4 or 5 decimal places, however when I enter them into MS Money (v12) manually they get rounded to 3 decimal places. This makes it impossible to track unlisted managed funds accurately. This is not a display problem because the qty * price ends up wih a significant variance to my actual holdings.     - How Can You Delete a Downloaded Bank Statement For some reason the most recent bank statement I've downloaded from my bank, money is showing as new transactions but they are actually in my account and already marked as E (electronically cleared) so I don't why it is doing this.     - Corrupted Internet Updates Any idea why there have been so many corrupted Internet updates in Deluxe 2004 lately? I lost over 50 transactions a couple weeks ago and tonight it crashed getting another 62. Until about a month ago, I haven't had any problems. But now I'm going to have to manually enter over 100 transactions for the past month. I'll flush my IE browser cache again, but this is getting frustrating.     - Posting Messages - Text problem If I just keep typing as if I was in a word processing application in = the supplied 'Message Box', if appears to scroll me nicely to a new line = whenever required. However as you can see above, after adding my message to the newsgroup, it displays my text as a single long line!!     - Why wont it let me get in? I keep receiving the following message when ever I try to login into the passport services for Money which is almost a requirement as all my personal banking is now done online. I receive this dialog: The sign-in attempt for <insert email> was unsuccessful. Pleas try your sign-in name and password again. Sure I can still get in offline but doesn't Microsoft want to develop a product that can easily sign on? I do have a residential router setup but I never have any problems signing into any of the other passport services. I have double checked to make sure that I was signed into MSN's homepage before trying to sign in to Money. Yes my username & passport is correctly and I have also tried logging out and in to MSN's homepage with Internet Explorer. This is the first weekend I am heavily using Money before I was just using my banking's website to do all my banking but I desire now something that can track my history.     - Money 98 I have been using this program all week, printing out the register without a hitch. Yesterday, this error came up: This operation cannot be performed. I was going to reinstall the software and see if that helped but my CD doesn't have the reinstall software...it was installed at Dell.     - Account register- Automatic Catagories? Hi all: I have a question about the account register...just started using my Money 2002 again. When I download account activity from my checking account, there is quite a bit of information already in each trasaction. Then I try and clean up the month's transactions, and when I change one transaction, Money automatically updates a whole bunch (almost all) of others. So, if I change one transaction payee to "Gas Station," all of the sudden a bunch of debits from the grocery store become "Gas Station" purchases as well. Many large corporations are happy to pay big bucks for quality list. However, the money made from the mailing list is secondary to the income, which is made from people like you and me asking to be included to that list. Here are the four steps to success: STEP 1: Get 6 separate pieces of paper write the following on each piece of paper "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST." Now get 6 us 1dollar bills and place ONE inside EACH of the six pieces of paper so the bill will not be seen through the envelope to prevent thievery. STEP 2: Now take the #1 name off the list that you see above, move the other names up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etcâ?¦) and add YOUR name as number 6 on the list. STEP 3: Change anything you need to but try to keep this article as original as possible. Now post your amended article to at least 200 news groups. (I think there are 24,000 groups) All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post , the more money you make!** EVERYBODY AROUND THE WORLD CAN DO THIS BUT REMEMBER TO PUT ENOUGH STAMPS ON YOUR ENVELOPES!!!!** This is perfectly legal!     - High Processor Utilization with Money 2001 When I run Money 2001 my CPU utilization goes up to 100%. This happens when an active field is highlighted - ie a new withdrawal form, even if I'm not doing anything. If I click on a non-Money window, processor utilization falls away, even though the programme is still running. My husband and I both have accounts with Vanguard, but I don't know how to
set up the online services with more than one username and password. When I
added my account it set up the service, but when I went to add his it said
that Vanguard was already set up in online services. I think I can manually
update his just by changing the info, but it would be nice to not have to do
that.
