Does anybody know where I can find a full, detailed tutorial on Reports? I'm
in Money Plus Deluxe (2008).

For example, I'm trying to run a simple report of account balances over
time. I can do this and see a line chart of the TOTAL of the accounts I've
chosen, however I want to see separate lines for each one.

I may need to export to Excel, but I still need to get the data.

I've got a bunch of others, so I figured a good tutorial would help.

I don't know of a formal tutorial, but you can get plenty of help here.
Post some specific questions, and there are lots of people who will be
glad to give you some help.

For account balances over time, I would use a "Transactions by Category"
report.
* Click "Customize...".
* Start by clicking the Reset button so you have all the defaults.
* Change the date to what you want.
* Go through each tab, selecting the options that show everything--"all
account", "all categories", etc.
* On the Rows & Columns tab, select Subtotal to be Weeks, Months, Years,
etc.

This is a general outline. Try a couple of reports, then post back here
with questions.

Thanks Steve! For that particular report, that's a good start. But it's
not quite what I'm looking for. What I need is a line chart that shows
account balances over time. So for example, I guess a report view would look
like:
Account, day1, day2, day3, day4, ....
Bank1, 100.00, 105.00, 110.00, 115.00
Bank2, 500.00, 400.00, 300.00, 200.00

Then the line format for that would be two lines, one going up, one going
down, etc... If I can't get the line chart, then the report would be fine so
that I can export it over to Excel.

OK, use the "Account Balance History" report. Select the date range you
want and the accounts you want to see.

You will want to go to "Tools > Settings > Report Settings" and change
from Essential to Advanced reports. While you're on the Settings page, go
through all the links and make _everything_ advanced.

As a training exercise, use Help to see what all the different Settings
page options do -- this is the way I usually learn a new piece of software.
