Money 2004.

Hello, I made the, at least in my opinion, stupid mistake of not only using
my Passport profile to log into my Money file, I allowed my financial data
to be placed into my profile on their servers (I think its called Money Data
on the Web, not sure though). Is there any way I can remove the Passport
information from the file and my Money information from the web? I
appreciate the help. Thanks,

Chris

Okay, I was able to disable the Passport use in the file, what I would like
to do (and I'd bet you can't) is pull my financial info off of their sites.
Any ideas on that? Thanks,

Chris

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;323964
describes how to remove online info.

In the article, it says to click 'Reset' at the bottom of the page. The link
isn't there. I tried poking around all over, but no luck. I was able to kill
the accounts that link directly from my bank (the MSN Money accounts), but
cannot remove the Microsoft Money accounts.

Also, according to my file, when I clicked Tools > Access my money data from
the web, it lets me know that I have no Passport associated with the file.
Does that mean that when I disassociated the passport, it deleted the
information on the web?

Do not assume that. Go to
http://moneycentral.msn.com/scripts/webquote.dll?ipage=pmx and find
out. You can do that from a browser that does not have the deluxe
portfolio installed, if you like. One way to go from there, if you
find data still there, is to start deleting accounts.

I just tried the link from a machine with the Deluxe portfolio
installed and from a browser not using the Deluxe. They both had the
link.

You might try a different computer, or try a non-IE6 Java-capable
browser to see if you can then see the link.

Alternatively create a new XP user. That user will have default IE6
settings. As that user, see if you have the needed link.

After looking around, I finally got my info down. Of course the link you
sent me to made me wonder what exactly the MSN Investment Toolbox is and how
to use is, but I have left that for another post. Thanks again,

Chris
