    - Backup I have Money 2004 Standard Edition. My file is now 2 yrs old and has a lot of data. It now asks for a second flopy disk to save a backup. I would like to save to a CD or DVD and keep it updated with changes saved each time I close "Money" (just like it does when backing up to a flopy). I can't figure out how to save the file or "backup" the file to one of those media without the file closing. I thought maybe I needed to format a CD or DVD to keep the recording session open to backup to each time I use "Money". My computer has "Drag N Drop" CD/DVD burning software and I can't find a way to keep the session open for multi recordings or "backups".     - Balancing Savings Account I have Money 2004 and have been using money for years. Over the past several versions, I have noticed that when I go to balance a Savings account that earns interest, the system freezes on me if I enter the Interest amount in the Balance Wizard at the begining. I have to leave it blank then postpone the balance and when I start to balance again, it lets me put an interest amount in the wizard. What can I do to resolve this?     - Money 2000 causes 100% CPU Usage Running MS Money 2000 on a recent IBM ThinkPad with Windows 2000. When working in .mny file (size ~5MB), CPU usage frequently goes up to 100%, goes down occassionally, but is generally very high. Any browsing within .mny file, new entries, even mouse movements cause the CPU usage to shoot up. System behaves normally otherwise, is new and well-guarded (no infections, no ad-/spyware, etc.) Same behaviour also occurred on different, somewhat older ThinkPad.     - Money 2004 SB: Dimensions of logo on invoices I'm a graphic designer, and I've created a logo for my friend's business. He uses Microsoft Money 2004 Small Business. I don't have access to the program and he can't find information that tells him or me what the pixel dimensions should be for his company's logo. He is using one of the pre-set templates. I've sent him one logo file (.JPG) that was 400 pixels wide by 44 pixels tall, and Money squished the logo horizontally.     - Money 2004 desktop and Pocket PC discrepency I have been using MS Money for Pocket PC and it has been working great until recently. There is a discrepancy between my desktop and my Pocket PC for the balances of two accounts. The differences are both equal to the amounts of two transactions in the account register. I entered them separately, but they showed up as part of the same transaction in the electonic statement (one was a deposit and the other was a transfer from check to a cash account). The desktop version of Money let me match the two transactions to the same electronic transaction. Money for the Pocket PC seems confused by this and seems to count both transactions twice. I just signed up for Bank One Online Bill Pay, after hearing that a recent service upgrade allowed much tighter integration with MS Money and other finance softwares. However, when I try to set up my account for making an electronic payment and get the set up online provider screen, I am met with only two choices: MSN Bill Pay or CheckFree (existing customers only). Which means, for instance, that it's impossible to send an extra principal mortgage payment if the regular payment is scheduled as Apay.     - Money launch Can anyone tell me what is ocurring when Money 2003 launches? I've noticed (per my desktop cpu meter) that upon launching money, 100% of the cpu is being used for about 30-45 seconds after signing in and home page displays. My concern with this, is on more than one ocasion, if I submit a bill for on line payment before the cpu percentage drops to less than 5%, the program freezes after the confirmation displays and my only exit option is via task manager. I haven't a clue what the program could be doing since don't use passport, or any of the other resource hogging features, such as feedback and money express et al.     - Auto categorise Hi all, I have just started using MS money for the first time, and im stuck with something. I can download and import statements from my bank and that seems to be working fine. What i want though is for money to auto recognise entries. For example i assigned expednse in a particular supermarket as groceries. I thought that in every instance of that supermarket in my statement it would automatically be seen as 'groceries' category, but this doesnt seem to happen, i have to manually add the category each time a transaction occurs with that store. Likewise, when i add a monthly transaction as a bill, it doesnt recognise further instances of that payment. unwanted files. How can I remove them from Money ? Also,

File|Delete from Windows Explorer? How would you delete an unwanted Word or
Excel file? How would you rename a Word file? The only difference is that
Money want to open the LAST FILE YOU USED when it starts next if you don't
explicitly open something else. You can do that, too, by opening the file
you want from Windows Explorer.
