Online service expiring?
Reading this board, It sounds like my M2004 online services has expired as
of 9/1. I think that means I will not be able to download transactions from
my various account providers. Although I have downloaded without any
problems in the last couple of days I guess it will stop soon.
How can Microsoft justify this? When I download my account I assume the only
parties involved are me and my account provider.
It's like GM expiring the ability to start your car!
Okay, I can understand expiring updates, but not any capability of my
software that does require direct MS support.

A Short History of Banking
A Short History of Banking
In the old days there was no paper money. The accepted token of
exchange was precious metal minted into coins by the Church and the
Crown. Because there was only a limited amount of gold and silver
available, the economic life of the nation had a certain regularity.
An even greater restriction existed throughout Christendom. This was a
prohibition against usury, or charging interest. The Church held it to
be a grave sin and the code was upheld by the civil powers. There were
harsh penalties for those who broke the law.
The regulation of usury was to prevent the separation of money from
reality. Money is not a good, it is a measure. It is fraud to pretend
otherwise, and constitutes theft. Usury is making money from lending
money; it is making money from nothing. This is exactly what is
happening today on a colossal scale.
Several important things arose from the prohibition of usury in
medieval Christendom. Firstly Jews, who had taken to wandering around
Europe in the Middle Ages, began to specialize in money-lending and
other practices which were forbidden to Christians. Exploited
Christians, both peasants and aristocracy, found themselves being bled
dry by usurers, which is why there were sporadic uprisings,
imprisonments and expulsions of Jews throughout Europe. It is one
reason why King Edward I expelled these perfidious people from England
in 1290. Oliver Cromwell allowed them back when the moral authority of
the Church was undermined and the King was beheaded in 1649.
Secondly, gold coins, jewels and other valuables were deposited with
people who held strongboxes. This was usually with goldsmiths and
money-lenders who, more often than not, were one and the same. These
loan-sharks and scriveners realized that, without much chance of being
found out, they could charge people for looking after their deposits
and then use those deposits - which did not belong to them - to make
loans to other people at interest. They soon became rich and powerful.
Gold coins are heavy and awkward to carry around so the custom arose
whereby the money-lenders would issue credit notes to depositors who
began to trade these notes between themselves in commercial
transactions. Paper money had come into existence.
A new form of usury developed as the swindling money-lenders realized
the immoral benefits that could be obtained from such a situation. It
became apparent to these thieves that they could go one step further
than dishonestly using other people's money for financial advantage at
no cost to themselves. They could invent money from absolutely
nothing. They could issue credit notes with nothing to back them up
and put them into circulation as interest-bearing debts. No-one would
be any the wiser. They calculated that they could safely issue notes
for up to ten times more than the gold deposits they held, because the
depositors would never ask for their deposits back all at the same
time.
The principle of modern banking was thus established: invent money
from nothing, put it into circulation as "running cash notes" that
have to be paid back with real wealth that is produced from our
labour, sit back and become unbelievably wealthy and powerful men:
hidden rulers of nations.
In England this deceitful system was officially sanctioned in 1694.
The usurper of the throne, William of Orange, had overthrown the
legitimate King James II with the financial backing and plotting of
powerful Jewish financiers in Amsterdam. In return he gave the
sovereignty of England to a group of financiers by means of a Charter
allowing them to call themselves the Bank of England. The Charter made
no mention of issuing the nation's money, but within minutes of
signing the new Bank officials were discussing the form of their
"running cash notes." The same system was adopted in every country by
a process of Masonic revolution and manipulation.
FREEMASONRY AND COMMUNISM
Socialist theorists and ideologues have never attacked the essential
mechanism of capitalism. Although the injustices of the capitalist
system have been attacked in volume after volume, and rightly so, they
have never even hinted at the usury upon which the whole system is
built and from which all the other injustices stem.
Perhaps this is because so many Communist leaders are Jewish. Most of
the 'Russian Revolutionists' of 1917 were actually Jews from the lower
east side of New York City. Two hundred and seventy-five of them were
conveyed to Russia aboard the S.S. Christiana, led by Trotsky and
financed by Kuhns, Loebs, Schiffs and Warburgs. This cosy circle of
Jews and Freemasons financed both sides of the Great War.
Marx and Engels, two more Jews, wrote the Communist Manifesto on
behalf of a secret society calling themselves 'The League of Just
Men.' This secret society was an arm of the Illuminati, whose power
and influence was the catalyst of the French Revolution. One of the
founding members of the Illuminati was the House of Rothschild, the
Jewish banking house which practically invented supra-nationalism for
personal profit.
THE SITUATION TODAY
Nowadays banking has become extremely sophisticated but the hidden and
usurious mechanism behind it remains the same. After a big enquiry,
hushed up as much as possible, the Bank of England was nationalised in
1946. In theory control of the Bank of England should then have passed
from a group of private individuals to the British Government, but
this is still not the case. Nationalisation only added a thin veneer
of respectability.
The British Treasury, in conjunction with the Bank of England's
advisers to the Government, determine how much paper money and coin
will be issued each year. This has to accord with the wealth of the
nation for that year. But because banknotes and coins only account for
a tiny percentage of financial transactions, it makes no difference to
the bankers at all. Most financial transactions are carried out with
abstract figures on a computer screen that have no relationship to
real wealth. Everything has to be paid for at interest though - even
when it doesn't exist!
The Government still has to pay interest on old and new loans from the
Bank. Only a few years ago it was announced that the interest debt on
a loan taken during the Napoleonic War had just been paid off! This is
where much of our tax money goes.
THE NEXT STAGE
The next stage of development for international finance is to get rid
of cash altogether. Then the token accountability of the bankers will
disappear along with the cash. Their intention is that everyone will
have to use credit/debit cards for every type of commercial
transaction.
Electronic technology, when used this way, and when it is not merely
widespread but compulsory, will give them complete control of every
man, woman and child in the world. If you cannot buy or sell - food,
petrol, clothes - without a card you are completely at their mercy. If
you lose the card or it doesn't work for some reason you will suffer
until issued with a replacement. If you make a protest against some
particular injustice they could invalidate your card. The next time
you go to the supermarket your card may not work. You won't officially
exist!
Who benefits from such a scheme? The politicians or the bankers? To
ask the question is to answer it. The Bank of England is the real, but
hidden, government of the country. The Government and the politicians
are merely puppets controlled by the Bank - or, more accurately, the
international banking families. None of our cowardly politicians dare
stand up to these hidden and unelected rulers of the world, so
powerful have they become. Two American presidents, possibly three,
were assassinated for attempting to do so. It is far easier for them
to submit to the system and enjoy a rich life than expose the real
tyrants: tyrants who cause high taxes, unemployment, war, famine and
misery for the rest of us. But these despots of the New World Order
forget that Truth is more powerful than they could ever become. And
Truth brings Justice!

upgrading 2004 to 2007 -- on-line banking and other questions
I've been a user of Money since 95, and this month updated from 2004 to 2007
-- not because I wanted to, but because the meter ran out. And I have a
couple questions.
First, I have a credit card and loan at the same bank. The loan has never
downloaded before, but now does it not only download, it set up a new account
all on its own. But it's set up as a credit card account, not a loan, making
separation of principal and interest impossible. I can't merge it into the
correct loan account, and if I try to delete it, it warns that it will delete
all other accounts from the same institution! Huh?
Second, formerly the payment of this loan (from a different institution)
downloaded and matched the bill with no problems. This time the payment
downloaded from the other bank, but it didn't automatically match like
before. Not only that, but if I manually try to match it, the loan payment
(from Bills Summary) isn't an option. It is still listed correctly under
Bills Summary, however.
Third, what happend to the really cool bills and cash flow diagrams under
the individual account registers? That was really nice to have it in one
screen, specific to that one account. I think the spending thermometers used
to appear there as well sometimes.
Fourth, I finally found out where to disable the automatic quotes update
each time I started the program. Seems the default should be off, especially
if it was in the old data base.
Thanks for any help.

A financial provider offers downloads only of QFX format files. Money
doesn't recognize them. I imported the .reg file from money.mvps.org

Perhaps someone can recognize a problem? The rest of the data has

duplicate account created from onlineservice
My wife & I have Money 2006 and have bank accounts that we keep updated via
Money's "online updates". We have one single Money file, and two separate
bank logins.
Under my bank login, I have my checking acct and our joint savings acct
linked together. Under my wife's login, she has her checking acct and our
joint savings acct linked together.
If we set up Money to online updates using either one of our bank logins,
Money will download info for the joint acct and the person's checking acct.
That's fine.
The problem is when we try to have both bank logins set up in Money. Money
uses our two logins and thinks that it has bank accounts to track:
my checking
our joint#1
her checking
our joint#2
There's no way in Money that I can find to merge joint#1 with joint#2, and I
can't seem to disable downloads for just one account within a bank login.
Any ideas? Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228205

Bogus messsage re need to upgrade ??
I am running Money 2007.
Today a message box popped up saying that the complimentary features that were
installed 1142 days ago (that would be in August 2004, when I installed Money
2005) were about to expire and I need to upgrade.
Why am I getting this message? I upgraded to M06 back in August 2005, and from
M06 to M07 in August 2006. Shouldn't my complimentary features be available
until August 2008?
Does anyone know what "complimentary services" are they talking about? What
did M05 include that M06 and M07 don't? The only online service I use is to
retrieve stock market quotes. Is this about to be cut off? Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228184
Another Rejection of Online Services
Apparently my 2007 Money file is using a date from back in 2005 (must be the
date I upgraded to Money 2006) to claim my online services are expired.
Closing and reopening the file is of little value since it only avoids the
initial expiration notice but still displays the expiration notice in the
reminders section cutting off any chance at updating my financial records.
Bad timing as the first of the month is just around the corner. Best solution
I've received so far has been to completely deconstruct and rebuild my money
file. Not a task I relish since my records go back to 1998. I'm sure that
will turn into a fiasco or eat up a weekend. Hopefully the folks at Microsoft
can figure out what is going on with this one. Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228181
Lots of Performance Problems with Money Plus
I recently upgraded from Money 2007 to Money Plus Deluxe. I have been a
faithful Money user since 1999 and have owned nearly every version. I
noticed that some features did not function properly in Money 2007
(primarily, I always had to force my online accounts to update), but since
upgrading to Money Plus about two weeks ago, I have had nothing but problems.
Money frequently hangs at startup, generally upon transition to the Home
page or after updating accounts. I tried four times to archive transactions
prior to 1/1/07 thinking perhaps my file size (about 33 MB) might be the
problem; the four archive files were all different sizes (ranging from about
29 MB all the way up to 40 MB) and completely fouled up the ending balances
for several accounts, including my checking account. Tonight I have thus far
tried about eight times to start Money; I finally got far enough to update
but afterwards Money locked up again, and it has continued to hang upon
reaching the Home page every time since then.
Any help would be appreciated. I seriously considered moving to Quicken
2008, but from the consumer reviews of that product that I've read, it's even
more buggy than Money Plus. Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228174

Something happening in the background that slows me down??
I've got Microsoft Money 2006 Deluxe on top of Windows ME.
Every time I launch Microsoft Money and attempt to edit a transaction,
something is happening in the background that prevents me from editing
anything for a minute or two -- looks like Money might be
communicating with somebody/something. Once whatever is happening in
the background finishes, I'm fine after that. It's just that that
slowdown of 2 or 3 minutes is making me nuts.
I don't talk with my bank. I download the bank transactions to a file
-- that happens pretty fast.
When I launch Process Explorer and look at what Microsoft Money is
doing, there's a lot of activity. I don't know enough about the file
structure to be able to tell exactly what's happening.
Anyone got any ideas.
I don't think that I'm set up to check stock transactions. What else
could it be??
Thanks.

Guranteed cash (good for college students)
$$$ The 6 Dollar Investment "PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST" Works ! $$$
"AS SEEN ON OPRAH"
All the posts in regard to sending $1 to 6 people do work. Follow the instructions and be honest. $$ IT WON'T GET ANY EASIER $$
Money Making System $$ Network Together To Make Money Fast!!
I'm sure you ve read these letters asking you to send $1 to 6 different addresses. Putting your home address on the internet can be risky, but through PayPal all you have to provide is your email address. It s safe and easy just go to www.paypal.com and set up your account!!!! I am not a gullible person and have never trusted things like this, but I gave it a try, hey its only $6, I figured at least 6 people would respond out of the millions of people that use the internet. You should give it a try too! You have nothing to lose, and thousands to gain! Read on for the letter that I found ... $$ HOW TO TURN $6 INTO $6,000+!!! THIS REALLY CAN MAKE YOU EASY MONEY!! IT WORKS!!! BUT YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW IT TO THE LETTER FOR IT TO WORK!!!! $$
A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroup, just like you are now and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought, "Yeah, right, this must be a scam", but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 though PayPal to each of the emails stated in the article. You then place your own email address in the bottom of the list at #6, and post the article in at least 200 news groups. (There are thousands) No catch that was it. So after thinking it over, and talking to few people first, I thought about trying it. I figured what have I got to lose except $6.00, right? Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it. It follows the same regulations as the "mailed chain letters, which according to the U.S. Post Office (1-800-725-2161) is indeed legal! Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!!? Within 7 days, I started getting money in my PayPal account! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $20.00. By the end second week I had made a total over $1,200.00!!! In the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $36,000.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's Certainly worth $6.00. I have spent more than that on the lottery!!Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works? Also, make sure you print a copy of this article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it.
$$ REQUIREMENTS: You must have a verified PayPal account. If you do not have an account you can go to www.paypal.com and follow the instructions to set up a free account. In order to place the initial $6 into your account, you will have to verify your bank account with PayPal (which may take a few days). PayPal is 100% secure and is used by millions of people world wide. STEP 1: Send, through PayPal, $1.00 to each email on the below list. Make the subject of the payment "Email List" and in the comments, write "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR EMAIL LIST." What you are doing is creating a service by this and best of all you are not giving your address to anyone you do not know ... THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL!
The Email List:
1 tracym605@verizon.net
2 kayciewhite@yahoo.com
3 nik_koracek@tpg.com.au
4 antoinette1113@yahoo.com
5 calibaygurl@yahoo.com
6 cowboy86@gmail.com
STEP 2: Now take the #1 email off the list that you see above, move the other addresses up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc) and add YOUR email address (the one used on the PayPal account) as number 6 on the list. STEP 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 newsgroups, message board. (I think there are close to 32,000 groups) All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money you make - as well as everyone else on the list!
$$ DIRECTIONS $$ HOW TO POST TO NEWSGROUPS + MESSAGE BOARDS $$
Step #1) You do not need to re-type this entire letter to do your own posting. Simply put your CURSOR at the beginning of this letter and drag your CURSOR to the bottom of this do*censored*ent, and select 'copy' from the edit menu. This will copy the entire letter into the computer memory.
Step #2) Open a blank 'notepad' file and place your cursor at the top of the blank page. From the 'edit' menu select 'paste'. This will paste a copy of the letter into notepad so that you can add your name to the list.
Step #3) save your new notepad file as a .txt file. If you want to do your postings in different sittings, you'll always have this file to go back to.
Step #4) Use Netscape or Internet Explorer and try searching for various newsgroups, on-line forums, message boards, bulletin boards, chat sites, discussions, discussion groups, online communities, etc. For example: you log on to any search engine like yahoo.com, google.com, altavista.com, excite.com then you search with subject like? Millionaire message board? Or ? Money making message board? Or ? Employment message board? Or ? Money making discussions? Or ? Money making forum? Or ? Business message board? Etc. You will find thousands & thousands of message boards. Click them one by one then you will find the option to post a new message. Step #5) Visit these message boards and post this article as a new message by highlighting the text of this letter and selecting paste from the Edit menu. Fill in the Subject, this will be the header that everyone sees as they scroll thru the list of postings in a particular group, click the post message button. You're done with your first one! Congratulations? THAT'S IT!! All you have to do is jump to different newsgroups and post away, after you get the hang of it, it will take about 30 seconds for each newsgroup!
$$ REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWSGROUPS AND/OR MESSAGE BOARDS YOU POST IN, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE!! BUT YOU HAVE TO POST A MINIMUM OF 200** That's it! You will begin receiving money within days! $$
$$ JUST MAKE SURE THE EMAIL YOU SUPPLY IS EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS ON PAYPAL. $$ Now the WHY part: Out of 200 postings, say I receive only 5 replies (a very low example). So then I Made $5.00 with my name at #6 on the letter. Now, each of the 5 persons who just sent me $1.00 make the MINIMUM 200 postings, each with my name at #5 and only 5 persons respond to each of the original 5, that is another $25.00 for me, now those 25 each make 200 MINIMUM posts with my name at #4 and only 5 replies each, I will bring in an additional $125.00! Now, those 125 persons turn around and post the MINIMUM 200 with my name at #3 and only receive 5 replies each, I will make an additional $625.00! OK, now here is the fun part, each of those 625 persons post a MINIMUM 200 letters with my name at #2 and they only receive 5 replies that just made me $3,125.00!!! Those 3,125 persons will all deliver this message to 200 newsgroups with my name at #1 and if still 5 persons per 200 newsgroups react I will receive $15,625.00! With an original investment of only $6.00! A - M - A - Z - I - N - G - $$ $$ When your name is no longer on the list, you just take latest posting in the newsgroups, and send out another $6.00 to names on the list, putting your name at number 6 again. And start posting again. The thing to remember is realizing thousands of people all over the world are joining the internet and reading these articles everyday, JUST LIKE YOU are now!! So can you afford $6?? And see if it really works?? I think so? People have said, "what if the plan is played out and no one sends you the money?" So what are the chances of that happening when there are tons of new honest users and new honest people who are joining the internet and newsgroups everyday and are willing to give it a try? Estimates are at 20,000 to 50,000 new users, every day, with thousands of those joining the actual Internet. Remember, play FAIRLY and HONESTLY and this will work. Seriously, most people think this is a scam, but you actually do get thousands of dollars out of it, it is NOT another crazy stupid scam, if people follow through with sending out $6, it works!!!!!
$$ REMEMBER, IT IS 100% LEGAL! DON'T PASS THIS UP! $$ Look at what PayPal had to say about it! (Or ask them for yourself) Dear ************ Thank you for contacting PayPal. We apologize for the delay in responding to your service request. It has come to our attention that there is a PayPal scheme floating around at the moment you may have heard or seen the $5 scheme. You may have even taken part in it well we have been asked a lot of questions about this scheme the answer is yes it does work and yes it is safe to use providing you follow the rules it is legal and has made a big hit on the internet this year. Thank you for using PayPal! Sincerely, PayPal Community Support. There's no use trying to cheat for only $6.00 *** Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228128
"Learned" Repeat Transactions
I was told a year or so ago that Money 2005 Standard Edition could "learn"
repetitive transactions and that it would only take a month or two. Now about
2 years later I am still having to edit transactions that I download from my
financial institution. Usually it is just the payee and category that I am
editing. Can anyone help me to determine if, in fact, Money can actually
"learn" so that I am not constantly editing? Are there settings or other
things that I need to do?
Thanks. Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228126
Money 2007 online support running out?
I just received a notice that my Money 2007 online support will soon expire
so I should upgrade to continue receiving online services. This is a threat
and I will not bite. I will switch to Quicken first.
Can someone please clarify

Are M2007/8 fussier about OFX?
As the author of MT2OFX I have been getting a lot of reports lately that
the OFX files it produces are being rejected by M2007 and M2008 aka
Plus, even though to my "semi-trained" eye they are compliant with both
the spirit and the letter of the OFX standards and are certainly passed
without complaint by the Microsoft OFX checking tool. The same files are
accepted without question by M2006 or earlier.
The message we see is:
"The file you attempted to import appears to be invalid or contains
corrupt data. Please download the file again. If this problem continues,
contact your financial institution"
Does anyone have any idea what additional checks are being made in the
recent Money versions which my files might be falling foul of? Would any
of the MVPs be able to offer any advice?
Colin

MS Money Premium Plus - Updating Accounts Never Ends
I purchased and upgraded my Money Premium 2007 to Money Premium Plus two days
ago. Everything went well until the second time I logged on. I connected to
the banks to update my accounts and now in the upper right hand corner it
shows it is updating accounts. It has done this for about 10 hours (despite
me restarting Windows Vista Ultimate and restarting money). When I close the
program it continues to run (in the background) and requires a manual Ctrl +
Alt + Del (terminate process) to end.
Any help would be great as I cannot accept and update transactions while it
is updating the account.
Many thanks,

Duplicate entries Money 2005
I found a duplicate entry, a deposit of a pay check, in the report of the
account I was trying to balance and when I went to delete it, several fields
were grayed out and I could not void the transaction.
Suggestions please. Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228100
Favorite Account Balances Money 2005

the account list. I have checked for hidden transactions but now luck.

certificate of deposit value
I have MS Money 2007. How do I set the current value of a CD? It seems not
to let me do it, but insists the current value of a CD is the purchase
price. The way that Merrill Lynch reports the value of a CD in a brokerage
account is by its current or discount value. If I have to use the purchase
price as always the current value, it makes it difficult to balance my
brokerage statements against my porfolio values.
Is there a way to let me set the current value of a CD or somehow fake the
system into thinking it is a different kind of investment?
Thanks,
Vern Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228089

Money Essentials: Bank Balance shows N/A
I have imported all of my bank data. The balance appears on the Account List
page, but in the register it shows N/A. It shows the same for Adjusted
Balance. It does, however add up my adjustments. It's kind of a pain to
keep going back to the Account List to see my balance......
Has anyone else had this problem??? Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228082
Using EPAY from Account Register in 2006 premium
I can use EPAY from the bills section however when I try this from the
account register I get an error saying that my bank does not allow this
type of transaction, however it is an online account and as I said
earlier will work when initiated from the bills summary section.
Is this a 2006 bug(I recently upgraded and did not have this problem
before)? Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228078
Password not accepted after restore
I had Microsoft Money protected with a password. I needed to reformat my
computer so I moved the Money and Money backup files to an external HD. I
reformatted my computer and downloaded Money 2006 (I think it was the same
version as before, but I downloaded it for free without signing in to
anything, so I hope it was the right thing) I moved the Money files from the
external HD back to my computer. When I tried to restore the backup file, I
was asked to enter a password. I know the password is correct, but it is not
accepted by money. What can I do? Or how can I recover a password if the
program itself reset it or something? Tag: Printed user guide Tag: 228074
