Portfolio View

Can you add a column on the portflio screen to show the
dollar gain or loss for the current year. I can get the %
but not sure how to get the dollar

From the Portfolio view
SeeADifferentView->CustomizeCurrentView->PortfolioColumns select an
item in Available Columns or Displayed Columns. The description
will show in a box to the lower left. What you see is what you can
choose from.

Since what you ask is not in the list of available columns, no.
