ok, i was getting the sign-in unsuccessful error that many money users
seem to be having. after doing an extensive search here on google
groups and did all suggested solutions it still wasn't working - so
what i did was to go to

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\

and delete the Money folder with all its subfolders (there was
\12.0\something with xml files in them). after that passport sign-in
worked like a charm.

hope this helps anyone who has the problem

I'm a new user of Money 2003, and have not had success
logging in to my passport. I have XP Pro 5.1 SP1, and I
tried your suggestion below but it didn't work for me. Is
there a summary somewhere of other things I can try? I
poked around here a little bit, but am having trouble
finding pertinent posts, though you allude to many
suggested solutions found somewhere.

Thanks very much, this is driving me crazy! I was hoping
Money was going to help solve a lot of finacial tracking
issues for me, but so far it's only caused me a headache!

Are you aware that Money can do what most people want without using
Passport?

Mr. Learner,
I am new to Money , have 2004 delux. Various fixes have worked at various
times with the log in problem. If I remove Passport can I still get
autodown loads from my bank or is that strictly a Passport function? Thank
you
John Hudson

It depends what you mean by automatic. You can get the downloads,
but you will have to click to start.

You would have to click Internet Updates at the bottom of the Money
window and click again to proceed.

You can choose to have a conventional password on your file, or you
can choose to have no password on your file.
