I have been using Microsoft Money 2006 Deluxe since December 2005, without
incident. In recent days, however, the program has been unable to
successfully download updates for my Scottrade account. Using Internet
Explorer, I am able to sign in to my Scottrade account, without any trouble,
so it appears that Scottrade's servers are running properly. Any idea what
the problem may be, and/or how to fix it.

I have no explanation, but the servers that serve the web page may differ
from those serving Money.

Contact Scottrade tech support to determine if they have a problem that they
know about.

Don't have a fix but this sounds exactly like what happened to my Prudential
403 account. It was working great, even on 2006, until about 2 weeks ago,
then it just stopped updating. I did upgrade to IE7B2 and boy did that cause
some issues. Once I removed it my other accounts went back to normal, but not
prudential. This also happened about the same time that the stock quotes
weren't updating right.

I guess I need to try uninstalling and reinstalling Money 2006 and see if
that helps.

I sent an email message to Scottrade's customer support center last evening,
inquiring about this problem. I'll post a message in this newsgroup if I
receive a response.

Money/Quicken servers in the past few days. Please be advised that the
maintenance is not complete and you may experience difficulties throughout

Are others still having this problem? I still cannot update Scottrade
(now about 2 or three weeks). However, I do notice that occasionally a
background update will go through; just not when I press "update now".


I've also tried disabling online updates for this account and then
re-enabling. The strange thing is that the re-enable goes through and
correctly identifies the account and then promptly proceeds to error
while attempting to update.

Same problem here. I have not been able to update Scottrade transactions for
well over 2 weeks. Call the local office and they said the problem is being
worked on... not ETC.

Dear Client,

Thank you for email. At this time, we are having technical difficulties with
our MSMoney servers. We ask that you try to retrieve your account information
directly form the MSMoney account within a few days, as we are working
diligently to resolve the issue. We are sorry for any inconvience we have
caused you.
