As I previoulsy posted, every so often, my money file turns into a tmp file
with a leading squiggle ...
I started opening the file instead of the program and verified that it is in
my documents. I must be something to do with an automagic cleanup or defrag
of Vista.

I am contemplating upgrading to Money Plus from M07 and I hope this is fixed
for 64 bit Vista.

I am also having extra screwey problems with Wells Fargo online accounts.

This is not a Money problem as such, but is caused by the strict rules that
Vista has for file locations.

If you put a file in a location that Vista thinks you shouldn't use, it
will, without warning, create a transient file .tmp, allow you to make
changes, but when you close Money, it will delete the tmp file and you lose
all your updates.

You need to copy your money file to some place where you have full rights
e.g. Documents/My Documents or a folder of your own creation.

Right click on the .exe or icon and Run as Administrator and navigate to the
new location of the Money file. Once you have done the Run as you don't need
to do it again.

The part in the .mny file that has a check mark for "run as administrator is
grayed out"
I am a single user with admin privileges. I opened Money run as admin,
accepted UAC, but will that do it?

Also, I am working with Wells Fargo, the "connected services" date files are
incorrect.

I didn't say anything about running the .mny file as Admin. Either right
click on the Money icon or on the money.exe file.
