    - MSMONEY 2007, 2 PCs, 2 users, sames accounts. Hi. I would like to synchronize my MSMONEY 2007 installed on my laptop with my MSMONEY 2007 installed on my home pc. Of course, when i'm on move , my wife may had enter some record, so, a simple "copy" of the file cant be done. Is there any method to "share" and "sync" the file?? Thanks for your support. David.     - Reports Tutorial Does anybody know where I can find a full, detailed tutorial on Reports? I'm in Money Plus Deluxe (2008). For example, I'm trying to run a simple report of account balances over time. I can do this and see a line chart of the TOTAL of the accounts I've chosen, however I want to see separate lines for each one. I may need to export to Excel, but I still need to get the data.     - Money Deluxe Plus won't download NSF fees for the same day. I sometimes have 3 overdraft or NSF charges in the same day, however, Money Deluxe Plus won't download all 3 charges.. just the first one. I then have to manually enter.. or go to my banks website to manually download for that day. I know there is a setting in MSM somewhere.. but I cant find it.     - Password Failing Money 2007 Im running Money 07 on Vista Ultimate. Up until about 6 days ago, I was able to sign-in and use Money just fine. Now when I open Money, I get a different start page to log into. It says "To open your file, enter your password". There is no option for entering in a username or to select to work offline. When I enter my password it fails. I am able to log into MSN money site just fine. How do I get into my .mny file? I have thought about getting a password recovery tool but they arent cheap.     - Bill - record payment vs. add transaction Hello, I have a recurring payment in the Bills section set up for my mortgage payment. The amount of the escrow payment increased recently, so I attempted to change the amount. I'm not sure what I did, but now when I double-click on the recurring payment, instead of a "Record payment" window, I get an "add transaction" window, and when I add the transaction, the due date on the Bills page does not roll to the next payment date. M'07 Since Yodlee seems to have died on me (again), I'd like to manually download and import data from my bank's web site to Microsoft Money (2007) to electronically match/clear my transactions. However, the last time I tried doing that I wound up with duplicates with mismatched names instead. Is there some trick to it?     - Order of Accounts in Account List I was wondering if there is a work around for the order of accounts in the account list in Money Plus Premium. Specifically I'd like to group some of my credit accounts (i.e. - travel cards, cash back, business cards). Since this doesn't seem to be a standard option (unless I am over looking something) I was wondering about putting a letter before each of the account names to group them. i.e. - "B credit card name" groups all the Business cards, "R credit card name" all the reward cards, etc. Good approach? Does this have some hidden problem I am missing? Or better yet - any other ideas about how to group cards with in the Credit account list (besides by name, balance, etc).     - Corrupted msn file? My main Money file will not open and seems to be corrupted. It says that the password is not recognized - although it is correct. I tried to run salv.exe but it tells me the same thing - password not regognized.If I run Standrad repair inside of Money (I first opened a test file) - it says that it "the utility cannot repair the file". Retail investors in mutual funds (MFs) have displayed surprising maturity, staying invested in equity schemes despite the sharp fall of the stock markets from mid-January. However, it is too early to conclude that Indians have graduated to becoming long-term investors in equity and equity MFs. Experience shows that retail investors panic whenever markets go into a tailspin, cashing out part of, if not all, their investment in equities and equity MFs. Such behaviour hurts investors and MF schemes. Also, liquidation of positions held by MFs only serves to further weaken sentiments in markets. The 11% decline in assets under management (AUM) of MFs in June from the May level was caused mainly by the fall in the stock prices and not by large scale redemption, a nightmare most fund managers fear when stock markets tumble. Redemption pressures were experienced by the liquid funds, as companies withdrew money for advance tax payments. As liquid funds are designed to be short-term plans, offering reasonable returns, withdrawals, which are seasonal in nature, should not be a cause for much concern. Well-managed equity MFs deliver reasonably good returns over a long term. While they would be affected by market volatility, investors could protect themselves by investing in schemes which suit their risk profile. For that, investors must make the effort to understand the objective of the fund, investment style of its portfolio manager and the bias of the fund. Investors must also be very clear about their investment objective and the period for which they would like to stay invested in a fund. Investors seeking stable, low-risk returns are better advised to keep a larger portion of their savings in debt schemes or conservatively managed/balanced equity MFs. The MF industry and its regulator, the Association of Mutual Funds in India, also need to take steps to keep the activities of asset management companies above board. Breach of their fiduciary role, such as manipulation of net asset value of schemes by fund managers, reported recently, could dent the confidence of investors in professional managers.     - Trending Item One feature I like in my MSMoney is the forecast of my cash flow but it doesn't seem to be working properly. It never shows a trended item for my gross income that I set up that I set up in the system. It does trend other income/interest however?? How come my gross income never get forecasted?     - Incorrect MRD Calculation In Lifetime Planner In MS Case # 1065381525ID I received a reply that the Minimum Required Distribution (MRD) calculation from an IRA account in MS Money Plus Lifetime Planner is not being performed correctly and is a known issue with the program.     - Downloaded bank data-check entries all come thru with same payee n I download my banking details every couple of months or so into my Microsoft Money (2004 version). It downloads all ATM, POS, electronic payments as well as all checks I've written. I'm having a problem with downloaded check entries. Each check entry comes through with the correct check #, date, and check amount - but all check payees come through with the same payee. For example-this last download listed all the checks I've written for the past three months with "American Express" as the payee. The last time I downloaded, it listed all check payees as "Joe Smith". The payees are valid payees that I've written checks to before, so it's not making them up. But I can't figure out why all the check data entries keep coming through with the same payee. This forces me to have to refer to my handwritten checkbook register for the correct payee, and correct each downloaded check entry which is a pain.     - Fidelity mySmart Cash I just set up a new Fidelity mySmart Cash account. Unfortunately Money downloads it as a brokerage account rather than a checking account.     - Online setup - Track positions only I have MS$2007 Deluxe. I'm trying to set up a new retirement account for online downloads. I would like to only track the positions and not the transactions. In the "account update settings" screen there is the option to "Track positions only" or "track positions and transactions" Unfortunately the positions only setting is grayed out.     - Category Field justification changed from Left to Right - Money 20 The justification of the Category field in the Account register mysteriously changed from Left to Right.     - Bills not included in Savings and Spending Budget (Money 2007) Very strange I posted the question several hours ago and it... disappeared! Let's repeat but now very shortly. When I tri to use Savings and Spending Budget (Money 2007) it won't include my bills. For example I have deposit "Salary $1 - each month" but my budget shows category Salary as "not planned" and I can only enter smth manually to it in the budget. The same for bills. If I enter some regular bill it's not used by budget, the category in budget shows "not planned". So I should either enter each bill/deposit TWICE (1 - in bills & deposit, 2 - add the same sum to budget) and, of course, when removing bill/deposit remove the sum from budget manually too. I think about using Money 2008 (no I use Money 2007) and I can't find the most important info - is it still possible to use Advanced budget in Money 2008? I understand that for some unknown reasons Microsoft tries to hide and stop supporting Advanced budget. But for me it's the only normal way of budgeting.     - Planned Bills not included in Savings and Spending Budget (Money 2 Can anyone explaine me the situation... I'm using Advanced budget (Money 2007) and it's quite Ok for me. But I see Microsoft wants us to use either Essentials or Savings and Spending Budget so I tried to learn this new S&S bugdet just to find is is possible to use it for my needs. So here's the question. With Advanced budget when I plan some recurring bill it's automatically included in the budget. For example I plan 2 bills: - Deposit of $5 as my salary each month - Payment of $1 as some Water Bill eacn month. Advaned budget plans those amounts in the budget and I'm glad. But when I use S&S budget it don't use my planned bills and just proposes me either to "not plan" the category or plan it manually.. I think it's total bullshit. Just think - I pay $1 for water each month & it's really smart to use Bills to set up such recurring bills. I don't need to enter each month manually all details (select sum, category, company and other details) - I just select predefined bill and it's ready. BUT when I set up this bill it's not included in the budget. WHY? So if I sign a contract with some new company I should add it in TWO places: 1) set up a recurring bill for monthly payments with some $1 2) Add THE SAME $1 to the category of the budget - add manually by the way! So if this category is formed from several monthly bills I should MANUALLY sum them to get the sum and enter in into the budget. Just look - Advanced budget is SMART and I just enter info once in Bills, it's automatically included in the budget. So WHY it's not done in such way with S&S budget? Unfortunately I found no explenations or just descriptions of my problem. Is is some unique problem? For me this problem is enough to NEVER use S&S budget - it's just stupid crap.     - Money files compatibility I have recently installed Money plus, and was trying to open my old money file where I have years of history. It is a money 2002 (with updates) file. When I try to open it, I get the following message: Money can't open this file, because it was created using a different version of money. This is very disappointing, surely I can still convert my old file into the new format somehow? if there a converting little software that I can download from your site, to use as a one-off?     - Cost basis for Money market ! I just ran a cap gains report for 2008 to date ( to make sure no LT sales yet ). LT cap gain report for 2008 only shows my "Fidelity Select Money Market" which isn't really a sale. I've moved money out 12 times so shows 12 sales. Sales Proceeds = Purchase Cost as I expect , BUT GAIN/Loss column shows $13,707 gain . Anyone been here/done that ? A few years ago I closed/transferred one account into this account ( my bank statements were stolen from mailbox so I closed accounts) and maybe it considers that original money - zero cost ??     - Exporting Portfolio to Morningstar? How do I get Money (2008 Plus Premium) to export an entire portfolio to a single QIF file. I have gone through the Morningstar instructions but it seems like I would have to create multiple QIF files since there are multiple investment accounts in the portfolio.     - old trades shares & price quote off by one decimal position Due to Merill Lynch Settlement I must submit documentation from trades 7-8 yrs ago. When I look at my .mny for CMGI trades, the number of shares and price are off by one decimal place... instead of selling 242 shares at $1.20 it shows 24 shares at $12.00 This file was originally Money 1998 (95) and got upgraded to Money Money 2003(XP) then recently Money Plus Premium(Vista).     - Downloading transactions from a Chase Business Credit Card Hi, I setup online downloads of my transactions for a Chase Business Credit Card account. However, it downloads information into three separate accounts. There are two authorized users. So it's one account for the main account number and one account for each of the authorized users since each user has their own separate account number. I can't seem to merge any of the accounts as they are not listed in the merge list. If I try to delete one of the user accounts, then it only gives me an option to either close the account or delete all three accounts. I can't simply close it because then I still will have the duplicate entries. So each transaction has two entries, one in the main account and one in the user's account. Hello group!
I use banks in Austria (Europe) and I would like to use MS Money to
connect to these banks. However, it seems that none of the Money
versions support Austrian banks? I have several versions of MS Money
(US and UK, 1997..2004), but they only know US and UK banks.

Does anybody know:
- what banks in Austria offer MS Money connectivity?
- what versions/languages of MS Money is required?
- can I provide connectivity information to MS Money in the form of
an .INI file or something like that?

There is no Austrian version of Money! :-(

It is unlikely that any Banks will provide specific Money interfaces, but if
you explore their web-sites you may find that they allow you to download
transactions in OFX format. This can easily be imported into Money.
