Help... I can't get my current 2005 money file to syncronize with MSN. I
used to use passport with Money 2004, but stopped. Now that I have 2005.
There are some feature that I want to use. For some reason it walks me
through the prosses of saying DELETE my old MSN Money Website data. But it
never does. It just come back on the next login and say i am using the wrong
file. I can't find anywhere on the web to reset this.

I submitted it to microsoft support. Does anyone here have any ideas?

According to MS Support it's a known issue. I've been
escalated to a third tier regarding this and a problem
with not being able to get Bill Pay to set up within
M05. I'd suggest giving them a call though so they can
troubleshoot any other possible causes with you.

If you find another solution, please post it here.

Thanks. I am figured it was a known issues. I am patient enough. The online
banking that I had in 2004 is still working so it not an issue with me. I
paymy bills with two way online banking. I guess some of the new banks they
added use passport. I won't be able to use those.

I had a similar problem. Here is how I resolved it.

Initially, I had created a new 2005 money file from
scratch, including setting up the accounts. My old data
was still on MSN from a prior 2004 file that I had
stopped using. When I tried to sync the new file, money
prompted me with two options:
1) Overwrite my money 2005 file with the data on MSN
2) Overwrite MSN with the data from my money file
I selected the second option to upload my new data from
2005, but the sync process failed with an error that MSN
was not available.

To work-around this issue, I then created a blank money
2005 file, and attempted the process again. This time, I
selected the first option (to have MSN update my money
file). This worked. I then deleted all the old accounts
in money 2005 that were added by MSN, and created new
accounts. I then tried to sync again, and it succeeded.

any idea to when this will be fixed. I have 4 years worth
of data that I don't want to lose.
