    - MS Money 2006 from old computer to new with Vista I currently have MS Money 2006 on an old computer. I have purchased a new PC with Vista. I have also purchased new MS Money 2007 on CD. What is the best way for me to proceed in loading MS Money 2007 onto the PC with Vista, and to get my old Money files.     - Problems with Call and Put Calculations I have MS Money 2007 Premium and on occassions money will not calculate the price of the options correctly. It will treat it as a stock price and throw my totals off. I delete the transaction and then delete the stock (options) sysmbol from the list of stocks and close the program. When I reenter the information again the same thing happens. This only occurrs every so offen but it is very annoying. Anyone have any ideas?     - Using classification for a loan payment I have used the classification 'property' and set up properties withing this. I want to assign loan payments to a particular property but Money is not allowing me to do this. It always removes the classification which is not helpful as I do not then get the mortgage payments in with the other property expenses. Is there any way round this? Any help would be appreciated.     - MS Money 2007 Deluxe Won't Stop Adding Copies of an Account I attempted to set up online updates for First National Bank of Omaha (Credit Card) and ran into the "passkey" problem where updates cannot be performed automatically despite this bank appearing on MS Money list of supported institutions. Thanks fine - I understand MS continued to work on the problem. I deleted the account the MS Money tried to set up. However, MS Money appears to continue to try to set up this account - I didn't open Money for a few days and when I did, there where 4 copies of the account (same name appended with #2, #3, #4, #5).     - Customizing Report Formats I was looking at a Money 2006 report and, as usual, I could not see all the columns at once without dragging the header seperators closer to each other. Then, somehow, I got to a place where I was offered a "condensed" header report (or something like that). That "automatically" made each column much smaller so all the data fit on screen at once. Fantastic! The only problem is that I was so busy expoting the report to MS Works Spreadsheet so I could have control over what columns get printed (like I don't need Num..) and the size of the columns, that I can't remember where I found this option/capability. All I know is that it was while I was looking at the on-screen report. Can anyone remind me where this option is? It's not in help or the online manual - I know that for sure. Thanks..     - Money 2007 portfolio problem with showing totals for stocks. I upgraded from MSMoney 2005 to 2007. All appear to have gone well except I can't get my portfolio to show me any totals. It just shows me Symbol, Chart, Name, Last Price and Change. It won't show me Market value, Gain, Purchases or Realized gains. I open up the stock (using plus sign) and see that all of my buy/sell transactions are still there. HELP!     - Overdue Bill ? I have listed on my Money 2005 an "Overdue Bill", yet it is for an entry that's part of a series. The problem is the series is ok but I don't know how to get rid of this 'one' entry which is not needed (25th May). Don't really know how it came to be there.     - Repair a Money data file? MS Money or MSN Money? I've posted here before about trouble accessing one bank in my MS Money setup. I'm using MS Money 07 Deluxe on a WinXP Pro SP2 computer. It's now been well over a month since I've been able to download transactions from this bank. Last week, I had an online chat with a MS support rep. Unfortunately, I had to cut the session short, after over an hour, because I had a meeting I had to attend. And with one thing and another, I'd rather not go through the chat again and paying for phone support is a very last option. Anyway, to sum up: I tried accessing the data via the MSN Money site and it, too, was unable to download transactions from the bank. So he had me create a second Windows LiveID and setup my banking info through the new one... and it worked. But it was empty of all of my historical data. And then when I used the new login with MS Money, I got "duplicate account" warnings, and offers to merge the dupes. When the accounts were merged, I again lost the ability to use the online services. So in the meantime, I've deleted the new database and restored from the most then-recent backup, so I am essentially back to square one. Everything worked fine until my computer died. Now I am trying to install Money on a new computer using the same backup CD. But it pops up a window entitled "Key Expired". It appears that I need a "registration name and key", "exactly as given to you". Perhaps I did receive this information before but it would now be lost on my dead computer. However, none of the new data was saved, on the back up drive or my HDD. I was able to write an Excel macro to convert my data in Excel to QIF. However, I'm having the following issues: 1. For the past six months or so, my Epay transactions have been setting the date to the processing date rather than the payment date in my register.     - Perplexing question - not quite archive not quite starting over... I have been using Money in one form or another from 2000. I now am running 2006. I have a slightly different question from the standard Archive question... I dont want to keep the transactions from prior years. Say every transaction before 1/1/2006 I would like to delete. And then I would like to delete all the empty and ancient accounts that have been canceld or, as in the asset case like a House, sold. I am trying to not loose all the account information.     - Repair a Money data file? MS Money or MSN Money? I've posted here before about trouble accessing one bank in my MS Money setup. I'm using MS Money 07 Deluxe on a WinXP Pro SP2 computer. It's now been well over a month since I've been able to download transactions from this bank. Last week, I had an online chat with a MS support rep. Unfortunately, I had to cut the session short, after over an hour, because I had a meeting I had to attend. And with one thing and another, I'd rather not go through the chat again and paying for phone support is a very last option. Anyway, to sum up: I tried accessing the data via the MSN Money site and it, too, was unable to download transactions from the bank. So he had me create a second Windows LiveID and setup my banking info through the new one... and it worked. But it was empty of all of my historical data. And then when I used the new login with MS Money, I got "duplicate account" warnings, and offers to merge the dupes. When the accounts were merged, I again lost the ability to use the online services. So in the meantime, I've deleted the new database and restored from the most then-recent backup, so I am essentially back to square one. Hee's is how I try to make change. From the account register, I go to "Change account settings" then "Change bank or brokerage passwords" then "Edit user ID or password" I then type, not copy and paste, my new password and "Save Changes" I then try to update online and am told password and or user id, incorrect.     - How can I add transaction while using the online version of money Ok... when I first bought Money several years ago and installed it on my home computer, I could then login while at work via the passport and see the information that I had entered on my home computer. I installed Money (04 Deluxe) and tried to restore my Money back up that was on an external hard drive. I got this error: "Please insert next backup disk. (The disk containing file "".)" Try running Money as administrator by right-clicking the launch icon
to let any updates apply. Reboot the computer.

Thanks for the advice. Rebooting did the trick. It didn't tell me that when
I got the updates, so I just assumed that it didn't need to be done.
