I just upgraded from 2004 to 2007. Money initially allowed me to access data
file with existing hotmail email account and password. After converting
backup file, exited Money, then tried to access again. Now says that email
or password is incorrect. Tried accessing Passport services with old
password. Said I was logged on. Changed password to a "strong" password.
Money 2007 STILL will not allow me access to file. I have verified I have
access with Live access, have logged off, verified internet access etc.
Money won't allow me access to file either onliine or off line unlike old
version of Money. What do I do? All my data is converted now. Can't
uninstall 2004 and get access to my data.

Did you get any resolution for your problem? I have the same problem, except
I never could open the file. But when I re-installed Money 2004, it still
said my password was incorrect- so I don't have access under 2004 or 2007!

I finally got into Money 2007. It's been a while, but I believe I went out
to Hotmail and changed my password there. Then logged into Money "offline"
using the old password. Changed to the new password. When I closed Money
and reopened it, signed in ok with the new password. This all took a lot of
time, and I believe it never was a problem with my password. On 2 other
occasions, I haven't been able to get Money to sign in, then a couple of
hours later, it worked. I did go to the MSN site and tried to check the
status of the "Live" network. Said it was ok, but still wasn't able to sign
in. Late the same day it worked. I really hate it, but haven't found
another money management software that updates accounts like Money does, so
for now I'm stuck I guess. Hope this helps. CG
