I currently am an independent contractor. Is there a way when I get a
paycheck that has 0 dollars taken out for taxes, to keep track of how
much I need to save/put away to file with the government?

Am not sure if this will be any help. We too are
independent contractors and have no taxes taken out. I
have discovered that Money will show tax info based on
income entered estimated for the year. Of course this does
not figure in business deductions just normal deductions.
You could divide this by number of paychecks after
subtacting the amount of your normal business deductions
based on prev years (perhaps as a percentage) for
a "rough" estimate. You can play with it under TAXES. I
also noticed there is a tax withholding estimator under
taxes also but again it does not take into consideration
business deductions.

Personally, I think that's beyond the scope of this software. Tr
clarkhoward.com , the tax board. And get advice on estimated taxes.
Also go to irs.gov and get PUB 505.

This is good to know about too: http://www.eftps.gov/
