I installed Money 2006 and started it at which point it said installing
update. It got to 46% and stopped, now every time I start money it says
downloading update and under "Tools" "Alerts" it says upgrade in progress but
does nothing. I have re-installed 5 times and it hangs at 46% each time.

similar problem. Downloaded the trial version and upgraded from 2005.
Everything went fine. Now I'm trying to install the paid premium version.
Seemed to go alright but when I start Money I get a message asking if I want
to download the update. I say yes and nothing happens. The status bar sits on
1% with no progress.

Some of my functions are disables it says until it can upgrade.

I'm installing as Admin, turned of the firewall, virus scanner, turned down
the security on IE6... I've installed fresh versions and even tried with new
money files.... Nothing works! What is the deal?

Try creating a new XP administrative user. Create a new Money file
as that user, and apply the same Passport you used when you bought
the upgrade.

The idea is that the new user will have default IE6 settings.

After the upgrade succeeds, you can delete that user.

For anyone else who had this problem, when I sent to IE internet options >
security> local intranet and changed it to default setting, the installation
worked right away...
