Whenever I use the Internet automatic updates, money faults out and wants to
send a report to Microsoft. Also my account list shows most accounts with a
status of 'Update In Progress'

I've done a complete reinstall after removing it and power cycling my
machine. I thought it may have been something with removing 2004 and
installing 2006, but got same problem

Has anyone else been having this problem? I really just want to go back to
Money 2004.

I'm having this same problem with 04 to 06 upgrade. I tried reinstalling,
modiyfing the registry entries as indicated in another thread, and creating a
new admin user in XP as stated elsewhere, but all to no avail. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

I get the "We're sorry, but Microsoft Money has experienced an internal
error and will have to restart." It also happens when Money tries to
update the files during the day when I'm not around.

Attached is that error and error reporting screen shot is attached. It
states:

AppName: msmoney.exe AppVer: 15.0.0.513 ModName: msvcr71.dll
ModVer: 7.10.3052.4 Offset: 00014d5c

On a side note, I did a complete uninstall, then edited the registry to
remove all money 2004 and 2006 entries.
I was able to complete an Update of accounts via the automatic updates.

3 hours later I tried an update of accounts again and get the same error.

I finally solved this by stopping a process I had running in the
background which was taking all of my idle cycles. I imagine if you are
running Prime95, SETI, or another such process, you may get similar
behavior.

I think that I have fixed this problem.

1. Removed on-line access for accounts in the 2006 version- they were
already set up on the Money 2004 database file.
2. Set up each account again for on-line access.
3. Ran 'update accounts'

It seemed to work fine.

I'm seeing a very similar problem.

Every time I run internet update I get an error with the caption "Microsoft
Visual C++ Runtime Library" and the text of the message reading:

Runtime Error!
Program: ...gram Files\Microsoft Money 2006\MNYCoreFiles\msmoney.exe
R6025
-pure virtual function call

When it goes to report the error, the detail of the error is

Error Signature:
AppName: msmoney.exe AppVer: 15.0.0.513 ModName: mnymetal.dll
ModVer: 15.0.0.513 Offset 00004bb7

Thanks Cal,

Unfortunately, my system doesn't appear to have that rsabase.dll file on it.
I'm able to view any SSL server with my browser so it doesn't seem to be a
general crypto problem. I didn't' have this problem with Money 2005 either
(or 2004).

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, I encountering the same problem and temporarily stopping my
climateprediction.net computation solved the issue.

Now the question remains, why MS couldn't use a slightly higher priority
thread for whatever update they need to do at that time.
