I am getting the same error a few others have mentioned,
when using Internet Update on Money 2004 Deluxe. My bank
accounts and news update fine, but I get the following
error under Money Updates: "An unknown error has
occurred. Please try the operation again. If
problem persists, reinstall Money from your original
disks." Like others who tried, reinstalling doesn't
help. Clearing the cache didn't help for me. Has anyone
heard anything more from Microsoft?

Thanks.

Usually Internet updates of just "Get the latest Money updates"
immediately a second time will clear the error indication. If you
can ignore it, it is not an actual problem to worry about.

Thanks for the prompt reply to my post. Unfortunately the
trick of immediately updating a second time didn't work
for me. Because my bank accounts do update, this is a
problem I can ignore for now. I just get antsy when there
are unresolved problems...

Hi.

When the problem started on Friday I called Microsoft
Support and they provided a fix, which turned out to be
temporary. I called again Saturday and after further
testing and being put on hold for quite some time, I was
told that the problem was on their end and not on my end,
and that they were investigating the situation since many
others were reporting the same issue.

For those of you who are fortunate to have your accounts
updating, which banks/brokerages do you use? I only
update with TD Waterhouse and have not been able to get it
ot work since Friday.

TD Waterhouse works for me. They did require that I change my TDW
password via Money. There was a pop-up box that told how.

Did you have to change your actual TDWaterhouse password
(used at tdwaterhouse.com) or the download password in MS
Money?

Thanks!

The OFX password used in Money -- not the one used on the web.

It appears that Money Updates is working again. I didn't
get an error message this evening.
