Money Update not working for three days

I have money 2004 deluxe. All the quotes and bank statements download =
fine, but the money update always ends with an unknown error. Anyone =
else have this problem or a solution if you have had it?

Yes, I have the same problem with Money 2004 deluxe with an "unknown error"
on money update. If I clear the web cache, it works fine for the next try
but fails again every time afterwords... this started a few days ago.

I have also been getting a Money Update error for several days.
"Your last call encountered an error: 9/19/2004 9:32AM"
"An unknown error has occurred. Please try the operation again. If problem
persists, reinstall Money from your original disks."

Past experience suggests that re-installing the program will have no impact.
Waiting for a few days or weeks has eliminated the problem in the past.

Don't re-install. It won't help.

This problem seems to creep up occasionally, where
several people at one time are affected. It happened to
me before as well.

As one person said, clearing the web cache seemed to fix
it, but only temporarily. I believe that I had to run a
repair on my Money file in order to fix it permanently.
I apologize for not being able to tell you for certain,
but I believe that's what I had to do. Just save a
backup of your current Money file first.

Hi.

When the problem started on Friday I called Microsoft
Support and they provided a fix, which turned out to be
temporary. I called again Saturday and after further
testing and being put on hold for quite some time, I was
told that the problem was on their end and not on my end,
and that they were investigating the situation since many
others were reporting the same issue.

I too have been having this problem since Friday. I've
been getting errors with both downloading account
statements (from waterhouse -- the error says, "There is a
problem with the data received from this online provider" -
- not sure I believe that) and also Money updates (An
unknown error has occurred...). I reinstalled (Money 2004
deluxe) and it fixed the Money update but not the
statement downloads. The next time i tried the download
they both had errors again.
