Hi,

I'm having some trouble with my Money 98 Datafile. Ever since I imported
a certain OFC file into money (at least, that's when I think it
started), clicking on the "Update Acccount Register" button after
choosing "Read Statement" in the Account register, does nothing. (As
opposed to opening a window that allows you to update the account
register.) Is it possible to clear/remove the imported statement, or to
otherwise fix the problem?

Thankyou,

Jacob Buys (wjbuys@gmail.com)

I'm not sure whether this will work right back to Money 98, but try going to
the account register and right clicking on the 'transactions' to read line
(if it's there), and see if there is a delete option

Nope, doesn't work. There's noplace related to the imported statement
where i can try to delete it.

I heard that the money data file is implemented as a normal Jet
database... Perhaps someone could tell me how to edit it outside of
money? Or Something? Does Money 98 even store the imported statements in
the data file? Hmmm...

Yes, it didn't detect any broken records. Either that or the salvage
utility available from MS doesn't support MS Money 98. (The KB article
does not mention 98 as supported.) Also, the -s switch does not work
with 98. I still think if I could just figure out how to delete the
imported statement, it would work again, but I can find no info on where
it is stored.
