Trying to convert 2001 file to a 2002 deluxe file.( bargain bin - original
SW)

Error messsage is that file is not compatible after a few passes of the
converter working

Can this be a file fault ( my mny file) or is the upgrade not able to be
made?

the usual reason that this does not happen is that all versions of Money
have to be the same 'country' edition in order to upgrade/convert. US > US,
UK > UK etc - US will not read UK ........... I would have to assume that
the Australian Edition or International English have the same parameters.

Makes sense. AFAIR, the older Money vers. were "English" and had UK banks
etc.

I just downloaded the trial of 2004 but it won't convert either - US version
I suppose. 2001 was bought retail in Oz. Trouble is I'm now wary of trying
a retail upgrade - just in case !

2002 wasn't a bargain after all - perils of Computer Swap meets

There is a UK trial of M2004. Go have a look at
http://www.mvps.org/money/faq.htm. The downloads link for UK M2004 is in the
third column.

Being in Australia, the UK trial is probably not as useful as the
International English Trial as this is the version [I think] that is sold in
Australia and Singapore etc.

Thanks, that fixed it.

Went browsing and the only version of Money 2004 for retail sale in
Australia is Standard ( MS Website info). Seems I bought someone else's
mistake.
