BUT YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW IT TO THE LETTER FOR IT TO WORK!!!! $$ A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroup, just like you are now and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought, "Yeah, right, this must be a scam", but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 though PayPal to each of the emails stated in the article. You then place your own email address in the bottom of the list at #6, and post the article in at least 200 news groups. (There are thousands) No catch that was it. So after thinking it over, and talking to few people first, I thought about trying it. I figured what have I got to lose except $6.00, right? Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it. It follows the same regulations as the "mailed chain letters, which according to the U.S. Post Office (1-800-725-2161) is indeed legal! Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!!? Within 7 days, I started getting money in my PayPal account! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $20.00. By the end second week I had made a total over $1,200.00!!! In the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $36,000.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's Certainly worth $6.00. I have spent more than that on the lottery!!Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works? Also, make sure you print a copy of this article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it. $$ REQUIREMENTS: You must have a verified PayPal account. If you do not have an account you can go to www.paypal.com and follow the instructions to set up a free account. In order to place the initial $6 into your account, you will have to verify your bank account with PayPal (which may take a few days). PayPal is 100% secure and is used by millions of people world wide. STEP 1: Send, through PayPal, $1.00 to each email on the below list. Make the subject of the payment "Email List" and in the comments, write "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR EMAIL LIST." What you are doing is creating a service by this and best of all you are not giving your address to anyone you do not know ... THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! Now, each of the 5 persons who just sent me $1.00 make the MINIMUM 200 postings, each with my name at #5 and only 5 persons respond to each of the original 5, that is another $25.00 for me, now those 25 each make 200 MINIMUM posts with my name at #4 and only 5 replies each, I will bring in an additional $125.00! Now, those 125 persons turn around and post the MINIMUM 200 with my name at #3 and only receive 5 replies each, I will make an additional $625.00! OK, now here is the fun part, each of those 625 persons post a MINIMUM 200 letters with my name at #2 and they only receive 5 replies that just made me $3,125.00!!! Those 3,125 persons will all deliver this message to 200 newsgroups with my name at #1 and if still 5 persons per 200 newsgroups react I will receive $15,625.00! With an original investment of only $6.00! A - M - A - Z - I - N - G - $$ $$ When your name is no longer on the list, you just take latest posting in the newsgroups, and send out another $6.00 to names on the list, putting your name at number 6 again. And start posting again. The thing to remember is realizing thousands of people all over the world are joining the internet and reading these articles everyday, JUST LIKE YOU are now!! So can you afford $6?? And see if it really works?? I think so? People have said, "what if the plan is played out and no one sends you the money?" So what are the chances of that happening when there are tons of new honest users and new honest people who are joining the internet and newsgroups everyday and are willing to give it a try?     - "Learned" Repeat Transactions I was told a year or so ago that Money 2005 Standard Edition could "learn" repetitive transactions and that it would only take a month or two. Now about 2 years later I am still having to edit transactions that I download from my financial institution. Usually it is just the payee and category that I am editing. Can anyone help me to determine if, in fact, Money can actually "learn" so that I am not constantly editing? Are there settings or other things that I need to do? Thanks. As the author of MT2OFX I have been getting a lot of reports lately that the OFX files it produces are being rejected by M2007 and M2008 aka Plus, even though to my "semi-trained" eye they are compliant with both the spirit and the letter of the OFX standards and are certainly passed without complaint by the Microsoft OFX checking tool. The same files are accepted without question by M2006 or earlier. The message we see is: "The file you attempted to import appears to be invalid or contains corrupt data. Please download the file again. If this problem continues, contact your financial institution" Does anyone have any idea what additional checks are being made in the recent Money versions which my files might be falling foul of?     - MS Money Premium Plus - Updating Accounts Never Ends I purchased and upgraded my Money Premium 2007 to Money Premium Plus two days ago. Everything went well until the second time I logged on. I connected to the banks to update my accounts and now in the upper right hand corner it shows it is updating accounts. It has done this for about 10 hours (despite me restarting Windows Vista Ultimate and restarting money). When I close the program it continues to run (in the background) and requires a manual Ctrl + Alt + Del (terminate process) to end.     - certificate of deposit value I have MS Money 2007. How do I set the current value of a CD? It seems not to let me do it, but insists the current value of a CD is the purchase price. The way that Merrill Lynch reports the value of a CD in a brokerage account is by its current or discount value. If I have to use the purchase price as always the current value, it makes it difficult to balance my brokerage statements against my porfolio values. Is there a way to let me set the current value of a CD or somehow fake the system into thinking it is a different kind of investment?     - Password not accepted after restore I had Microsoft Money protected with a password. I needed to reformat my computer so I moved the Money and Money backup files to an external HD. I reformatted my computer and downloaded Money 2006 (I think it was the same version as before, but I downloaded it for free without signing in to anything, so I hope it was the right thing) I moved the Money files from the external HD back to my computer. When I tried to restore the backup file, I was asked to enter a password. I know the password is correct, but it is not accepted by money. What can I do?     - Money 2007-Payee Details--bug? I've always run into oddball bugs that never seem to get fixed in this app.... Go to your checking account, go to the Account Tools menu, Categories and Payees... Click on "Payees" under the View header on the left... Right click on a payee, and click on "Go to Details" that pops up.... In the top right it says the payee name with a date range and a chart. My date range says "4/1/2007 through 9/30/2007"... How do I change that date range? It's not clickable. I can right click on it, and select "ZOOM", and that page allows me to change the date range, but when I go back to the Details screen, it still has 4/1-9/30.     - Report Not Showing Full Budget Amount Hello. My issue is that the budget amount is not reported for the full amount in the income statement report even when I set the end date for the last day of the month. The budget amount appears to be prorated based upon the % of the month that is complete. For example, if the budgeted amount is $100 for a month, the report date is set for the last day of the month, and it is the 15th, $50 will appear in the budgeted line item of the report.     - Bank balance issue on Account List page Just noticed after converting to '08 that two accounts are showing Zero (0) Adj Balance but the Bank Balance column show a negative entry. I viewed each account and confirmed that the starting balance was 0 and the current balance was 0 so not sure why these two accounts are showing up having a negative Bank Balance. I also confirmed that at least one account was Balanced to the bank but that didn't fix the issue. Besides a possible repair fixing the issue, is there another solution or something else I didn't do?     - How to enter in forex transactions? I'm using Money Plus (2008) Deluxe. I have an investment account and would like to enter currency transactions (forex). This doesn't work well as an investment entry. For example: buy 150000 @ 1.62507 = $243,760.50 sell 100000 @ 1.6247 = $162,470.00 sell 50000 @ 1.62492 = $81,246.00 P/L = -$44.50 But the actual P/L is -$38.64 because of currency conversions. Forex accounts are heavily leveraged (200:1 or 100:1). That's where the large numbers come from. The account is off because of conversions between currencies. EUR/AUD for example. Money has no way to track these types of transactions accurately. For now, I'm entering them in the cash account of the investment account as Short-term gain/loss entries for the net amount.     - MSN Bill Pay Date issue in Money 2007 I am running Windows XP Pro with Money 2007 Home and Business. I just reluctantly upgraded from Money 2004 (and was greatly disappointed by the complete lack of usable new features). I was forced to upgrade because of the online services shutdown in 2004. While there were no new features worth mentioning in 2007, there is at least one new bug to contend with. In both Money 2004 and 2007, I use(d) MSN BillPay with my bank account where I could enter a payment in Microsoft Money and MSN BillPay would issue a check or electronic transfer on my behalf on the date I specified. In Money 2004, if I, for example, entered a payment for 9/25, it would show up in my register with a date of 9/25. If I logged into MSN BillPay, it would show 9/25 for the date of the payment. If it was a payment that was going to be paid electronically, the money would come out of my checking account on the date I specified. If it was a payment that was going to be paid by check, MSN BillPay (CheckFree?) would print a check with a check date of the date I specified and with the account number and routing number from my account (as though I had wrote the check out of my checkbook, such that if the check was never cashed, the money would never come out of my account). They would then mail the check such that it would arrive a day or two before the date the check was payable. In Money 2007, things are a little different: I entered a payment to myself set to be paid on September 25, but when I hit the 'enter' key to enter the payment into the register, Money set the date of the payment forward to September 20 in the register. I logged into MSN BillPay online, and it was showing the correct date of September 25. Sure enough, on September 22, I got the check in the mail with a pay date set to September 25. I've tried logging into MSN BillPay and changing a date to see if it would then snap to the correct date in Money 2007. However, even after updating to get the new date from MSN BillPay, Money 2007 always shows about a five date lead time over the time that MSN BillPay will actually execute the electronic transaction or set the check pay date. This is a real PITA. I know I could just live with it and account for it in my head, but I would rather it work correctly like it did in Money 2004. I also know that this could be setting the date to the date where MSN BillPay will mail the check or something like that, but, if that is the case, it is not right because the mail date is not interesting to have in the register; it should be set to the date on the check itself. This messes up my reports because it shows payments in the wrong month (I set a payment for the 1st of the month, and then money pulls it into the previous month when it gets backed up five days) and it also shows negative balances because it shows that checks are going to clear before my paycheck or other deposits. Has anyone else seen this issue? Is Microsoft aware of this issue? Is there a fix or configuration setting to get it to work correctly?     - Import Error from 2004 file to '05, 06, Plus, etc I have a Money 2004 file that works just fine bar the expiration of downloading stock quotes. I previously bought, installed, and tried to use M'05 & M06, but ran into the Cashflow not Updating issue, and figured I just keep using M'04 until I was forced to update. Now, I installed the demo of MPlus and have the same situation, when I import my M04 file, it crashed the program (same as M05 and M06), the import never completes. Money restarts, and it appears all my data is there, but it runs terribly slow, and the cashflow doesn't work. So, I started the whole list of things to check, admin privilidges, nuke the bills, and so on. none seemed to work. When I got the part where I should delete 'problem accounts' I thought I was on to something. Everytime I tried to delete an old 401k account, every version of Money I own just crashed. I tried every version of salve.eve and ran a Level 2 repair, all to no avail. My latest thought was to 'merge' all my old 401k entries into my current account. This went well, except for one investment. It is a CD. No matter what I do, I can not delete the entry for when it matured. I think this is the entry screwing everything up. Starting in 1998, I have an original buy entry, then every 3 months there is a reinvest intrest entry for 4 quarters That I can not modify. When I try, I get a message stating I have 'already redeemed or removed the funds associated with this transaction. If you want to delete this transaction, you must first delete the Redeemed ot Remove Shares activity first.' OK, I understand that, it makes sense.....but I can not do that. I see the transaction, but nothing happens when I click on it. I can not edit or delete that Redeem transaction. If I just try to delete the whole account, all version of Money just crash with the typical 'your file is corrupt and you are screwed' error message that tells me nothing. (sorry if I am cynical, but this is extremely frustrating, I have been using various versions of Money since 1995 and I can believe this doesn't work.) So, if the provided "file repair" does not work...how do I un-corrupt my file. I have trying to delete this entry and account in both Money 2004 file (in M'04) and the semi converted Money Plus file in MPlus.     - Splitting monthly mortgage payment into two payments Hi, I recently took advantage of an accelerator program with my mortgage company in which you pay your monthly mortgage payment twice a month instead of once. The problem is that I orginally set up my mortgage payment for once a month and when I go to try and change it to twice a month both the principle and interest lines in the details view show the amount as calculated. When I try to change the total amount and the frequency the details view (split) is coming up as wrong because it's calculating it as a monthly payment not bi-monthly. How can I fix this?     - Microsoft Money has stopped working I have MS Money 2003 Standard. I recently bought a new laptop with Windows Vista Business and when I load Money it seems to work fine with the blank Money file installed as standard. As soon as I try to open one of my files, it tries to update the database to the current version which seems weird as it is the same disc installation I was using on my XP machine. Just after the "update" starts it gives me the "Microsoft Money has stopped working" error and tries to contact Microsoft for a reason. No reason comes back so it restarts Money.     - Student Loan I have a question about MS Money and student loans. Right now my student loan is deferred until 2011. Is there a way to add this loan into MS Money to have it calculate the interest that compounded (and added to the loan) each month, but it not require the payments start until Aug 2011 because of the deferment?... I just want a way to be able to track everything so that I can see that my "networth" is really less than what it currently shows because of this student loan.     - Trouble Adding an Investment Account Ok, here is my story. I'm running Money 2006 Deluxe and have been using this file for a while (i.e. I have a number of existing accounts set up). I recently changed jobs, so have a new 401k through the new company. I'm trying to get that new account added, and can't get it done. The new account is with Fidelity, but my previous 401k account was with Fidelity as well. At this point, I have 2 months worth of contributions into the new 401k account, and have closed the old account (rolled into an IRA that I have not yet set up in Money). When I go to add the new account, the program tells me it is already tracking an account at Fidelity and asks if this new account uses the same SSN or Customer ID number. The new account DOES use the same SSN, so I choose that option. At this point, the program tells me to simply update my Fidelity account online, and I'll see the new account in the account list. So I update on line. Unfortunately, the new account doesn't show up in the account list. At this point, I'm stuck. Can anyone help with what I might be doing wrong?     - Assets on Balance Sheet. Using Money Plus, I can't get my Balance Sheet to behave properly: I have an investment account that has one mutual fund and a cash balance. The cash balance shows up on the Balance Sheet, but the mutual fund does not.     - Entering Categories and Subcategories in a Transaction Hi. When I first started using Money a decade ago, the category and the subcategory were in separate drop-down boxes. This made entering very efficient: I'd type the first few letters of the category, it would recognize it and fill-in, then I'd tab to the next box and type the first few letters of the sub-cat, and that would be recognized quickly and filled-in. But a couple of years ago, somehow this changed, and I've never been able to change it back. Now the category and sub-cat are in one drop-down box, separated by a colon. I have to type the first few letters, then unfurl the drop-down list and arrow down to the subcat choice. This always takes me a bit longer. I'm now using Money 2007--is there somewhere I can adjust a setting or check an option that will allow me the old way of making these entries?     - Access to Money file from laptop & desktop not working anymore I had Money 2005 Premium and it allowed me to synchronize/access my Money file from my laptop when I was travelling and through my desktop when I was at home. A message popped up in Money 05 that says my 2 years of online access was over and that I needed to upgrade to continue synchronizing/sharing file access. So I purchase Money Plus Premium and installed it on both computers. Now I am not able to "share" the info between laptop & desktop. I also noticed that Money Plus it is not synchonizing anymore after I close Money program like it use to with Money 05. The only reason I upgraded was for this feature. I enter all account details/info manually into Money. I do not use any online updates for my accounts. I called technical support and they say it is not supported anymore.     - price appreciation value Greetings all. I have added the 'price appreciation' value to one of my portfolio views. My problem is that the individual ticker's 'price appreciation' values do not add up to the summed 'price appreciation' for the account. I searched in this discussion group and found posts about how reinvested dividends are handled but that doesn't appear to be the cause of my problem. Can anyone give me some feedback on what I may have set up wrong? I've been using MSMoney since 1998 and had to start over with a new .mny file due to corruption.     - Money Plus and Chase Business Card Hi, I have a Chase business card account. It allows you to specify several employee accounts under the master account. Each employee account has its own account number. For example you can create an account for John Doe. If John Doe uses one dollar, this one dollar will be reflected in both John Doe's account and the master account. The problem is that both the master account and the employee accounts are downloaded to Money, causing the debt to be double counted. I try to delete all the employee accounts or the master account. But Money told me that if I want to delete one account, I will need to delete all accounts. I just can't find a way to exclude either the master account or all employee accounts in total balance calculation. Can anyone help? Hi, I started getting an application error while in Money and now can't get
into it at all. I get error message unknown software exception (0xc000000d)
occurred in the application at 0x7813e792. I've uninstalled the application
then reinstalled it using the CD an I get the error message. It occurs after
entering my passowrd when the Home page is displayed.

Any thoughts?
