I start using Money since 99, up to Money 2004,I am able to generate a
monthly report for whichever the month I want as long as the data are
available. This means I can get a monthly report a few years back and take
it to compare with my present monthly report or for some other purposes. But
since Money 2005,the program only allows you to have the most recent 12
monthly reports including the one in progress. I just upgrade to M06 and it
seems this function is the same as 05. Can someone help to verify if my
understanding is correct and whether possible to change the program setting
to enable that I can get more than 12 monthly reports. Thanks

What you see seems to be what you get. See

Thanks Dick,

Perhaps I'm an old man and always want to look back. But how in an
accounting concept that people would accept a program which only allows to
go back for 12 months' data? As a small company or as personal, I think many
times people would have the obligation to compare their income and expenses
to a certain period in the past.Anyway, would you able to suggest a way that
I can manually do this? Thank you again!

The other reports can all be customized to go back to any arbitrary date
range. Look at Income and Expenses, to name one. It's just the Monthly
Report that cannot.

I think the dumbing down came about because so many people were confused by
seeing monthly reports seemingly going back to the year dot and then
complaining about the amount of space all these historical reports took and
the inability to delete them!

Like most "improvements" I am sure that a happy medium could have been found
of having a drop down box that asked which month and year do you want?
