I'm not sure if this is the correct newsgroup to post this in but I was
curious if anyone has had a problem with MY.MSN not opening without a
username and password after launching Money 2005. It seems to open fine
without these prompts if I don't go to Money between accesses to MY.MSN.COM.
They both use the same passport username and password. When I access
MY.MSN.COM from my work pc is opens with no username or password prompts but
I am not running Money there. I have not received any meaningful help on
this from Microsoft. I'm thinking that perhaps I need to set up a separate
passport account for my home page internet access that is different from
that used in Money.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yes, I have the same problem. My MSN worked fine before I installed Money
2005. Now I have to sign in with my passport information every time. The
tech response I received was just the same ol' same ol' about clearing the
TIF. They wanted me to delete all my cookies, but I won't do that, because I
would lose all my automatic logins, so I just went through & manually
deleted all the ones that said "msn" or "msnbc" or "passport." Needless to
say, it didn't work.

I changed my e-mail address at the same time (new computer, new internet
access, new version of Money), so I wasn't sure which one broke it, but I
was pretty sure it was Money. Now I know it was. I hope someone comes up
with an answer.

I, too, have this problem. The MSN folks were unable to help me with it, so
I've just stopped using My MSN for now... too much trouble to keep logging in
every time.

I read elsewhere that this had more to do with Money2005 and MSN Billpay.
Do you both use Billpay?

I do not use MSN bill pay. I log into a local bank website to set up bill
payments.

I'm having this problem too. I think the best solution too, if no one can or
is willing to help is to use yahoo.com or excite.com. It seems that if they
wanted our homepage traffic, msn/microsoft would fix this. It's probably a
simple fix, yet there are about 20 posts with variations of the same problem.

I like msn home page, but not that much...

If someone at microsoft, or an MVP is monitoring, please help us find a
solution!!!!
