    - IRA Transfer categorization M2007 There does not seem to be a good method of categorizing IRA transfers so as to indicate taxable income.     - MS Money 2000 Import Error (obres:22063) I just bought MS Money 2007 Deluxe today. I was able to easily set up data imports from a couple of my financial institutions. However, two banks that are on the pick list are not working. I receive the error message obres:22063. One of the banks, it once actually showed me the accounts and added them to Money, but the balance shows $0 and I get the same error message when I try to update again. Great program potential, but I am getting frustrated. Any help is appreciated. So far, I have tried deleting the accounts, rebooting and re-adding, but no luck.     - Debt Reduction Planner I was messing with the "Debt Reduction Planner". Now, my budget shows a line item for the debt reduction (and corresponding amount) even though I de-selected the debt account from the Debt Plan (so all the accounts are listed under "debt accounts not in debt plan". Why is the debt reduction amount still listed in the Budget even though I've dropped it back down to the other debt accounts not in the debt plan.     - Figures lie and liars figure.... Here is an example of how figures can be misleading,. I am referring to the Portfolio Performance stats that are given for your investments compared to Dow Jones and S&P. What happens is, say you have $20,000 invested in mutual funds, and YTD your return is 15%. Your mutual fund declared a big capital gain/dividend, which you automatically reinvested. Yesterday your $20,000 drops to $19,000, dropping your annualized return of course. Today, it's back up to $20,000, but with a $1,000 reinvested at today's prices. So now you have the same money as 2 days ago, but your return is no longer 15%, but it's say 13%. In a way that's right, in a way that's not right.     - How can I run two versions of Money on the same computer? Hi. I have used MS Money 2001 since it came out and only use it for a few checking accounts. A friend gave me his copy of MS Money 2007 H&B as he didn't like it. Can't say I blame him. His business computer, like mine, is not connected to the Internet for security reasons. Anyway I have used QB in the past and I hate that, so I decided to install 2007 and test it. So far I have only played with the invoice module (the one in QB sucks) and planned to give the program a workout after the 1st of the year. BUT, I need to continue using 2001 and I can't. Nothing happens when I click on it. I put the 2001 CD back in the drive and was going to do a re-install (thinking I might have messed something up) but I get a grey box message that states "The current installed version of Money is newer than the version on this CD" so I know that 2007 is the culprit here.     - Portfolio Manager "Update prices" - not updating stock prices since 13th of Dec I am using "Microsoft Money 2006 Premium". In the "Portfolio Manager" if I click on "Update prices"-->"Update prices now", it come up with the "Update Status" dialog showing "Update complete". The problem is that none of my stocks are getting updated. If I click on the "Online updates" icon on the upper right corner and go to the "Review update results" page, there it shows that the last successful update for the "Quotes, News & Exchange Rates" was on 12/13/2006.     - Money2007 :: Slow Response Upgraded from Money2003. Money2007 takes nearly 6 minutes to load and consumes 85-95% of the CPU (according to Task Manager). Changing screens, for example from Bills to Portfolio, takes anywhere from 15 to 25 seconds each time, and consumes nearly all of the CPU while it is doing it. Where did MoneyExpress go?!? What a pain to have to be in the account to enter a simple transaction. I used MoneyExpress almost exclusively for my day-to-day entries. This is supposed to be a "better" version? Account Balancing -- where are the details we used to have? For example, Starting Balance, Ending Balance, Deposits, Withdrawals, etc.? This was very useful to have and now it's gone. Again, this is supposed to be better? You don't take features *away* from a product!! During a Portfolio transaction (Buy, Sell, etc.) it can take upwards of 40 seconds to complete each time I do one! All of these things make the tool difficult to use, and I've been using Money since 1993! Some versions were better, but Money2007 is not one of them.     - accounts added doing online banking I use Money 2006. My bank (Fifth third) recently added acredit card account which I had not requested. Now whenever I download statements, this account is recurrently added back despite relegating it to an "account closed" status. I can't delete the account; Money tells me that I will lose all accounts at Fifth third and recommends that I simply "close" this account. I asked the Bank It peoiple to stop having account added to Money but they respond by telling me that I have to "diable or delete" this account download through Money. Any suggestions?     - 401k statement date While entering historical data for my 401k, I accidently entered a statement date of 9/30/2006 instead of 9/30/2000. I didn't realize it until I tried to load 12/31/2000 statement, and received a pop-up that said "please enter a statement date later than your last statement date". After realizing my error, I deleted the transactions with the incorrect date and tried to reenter them with the correct date. At the 401k manager, it still shows the 9/30/2006 statement date, and won't let me enter any transactions prior to it.     - same day buy/sell transactions for ms money 2007 Hello, can anyone discuss how to handle this. If I buy and sell a stock the same day, MS Money does not seem to add these transactions according to the TIME these transactions occured. this causes the buys to all be grouped together and the sells to be grouped together. additionally since the SELL transactions are first in the register before the BUY transations for the SAME day, this causes the share count to go negative. So money then rectifies this by adding ADD SHARE and REMOVE SHARE transations, screwing up the profit and loss since these transactions have to price. How do I get MS Money to understand same day transactions? Moving the dates around can help but doesn't always work because sometimes it won't let me move the BUY transactions before the SELL transactions. I of course got SP 1 pushed down afterwards. I then receive the repeating request to install the SP.     - More M07 and Vista observations Tried the looping update message fix but no cigar. I did find that if I turn off UAC, the message goes away, but I am thinking the update doesn't think it's complete. If I turn UAC back on the message comes back, but programs shows the updated version and works as designed. I just cancel at each start. At first on install it would not connect to my live ID. I turned off web shield in Avast, and it worked. After a few reboots it works fine with web shield enabled. Reason I am running Avast is that I am running 64 bit Vista.     - My Password blanks out A strange thing has just started to occur. My MS Money 2005 file is protected by a password. When i open the file i enter my email and then my password. If working offline the password is blanked out when i click sign in and the file does not open.     - Money 2007 - Grrrrr I have had nothing but trouble since upgrading to Money 2007. Every time I open it, my entire pc freezes. I close M'07, but in fact, it continues running in the background. I have to use task panel to shut down the program before I can shut down my pc. Restart will not work. Everything has to be totally shut down before I can open and use any other program. I have "repaired" it using Microsoft instructions; and even tried uninstalling '07, then reinstalled it. I cleared the cache, dumped the recycle bin, basically got rid of all the traces I could find of '07 before reinstalling it. No improvement. I have Win XP.     - Haven't Used Money in long time Greetings, After diligently recording all transactions in Money, I stopped. I want to be able to start from now and then fill in the missing information (about 7 months worth).     - Money 2007 Issue Hi, I recently upgraded from Money 2004 to 2007. All seemed to go well, but now when I update with my bank an odd thing happens. I update and can see that I have downloaded transactions, but when I go to the register they aren't visible. I then close and restart Money. just bought MS Money 2007 Deluxe today. I was able to easily set up
data imports from a couple of my financial institutions. However, two
banks
that are on the pick list are not working. I receive the error message

obres:22063. One of the banks, it once actually showed me the accounts

and added them to Money, but the balance shows $0 and I get the same
error
message when I try to update again.

Great program potential, but I am getting frustrated. Any help is
appreciated.

So far, I have tried deleting the accounts, rebooting and re-adding,
but no
luck.
