    - Money Sales Tax / VAT In Money, it is possible to keep track of the VAT in both expenses and income. Although, on the invoices/accounts receivable, it is impossible to keep track of VAT on the actual invoice, it only has an option for sales tax, which get added onto the final price. In 2005, or in the future, is there/could there be an option to either (in invoices/AR): - Have sales tax/VAT INCLUDED in the price of the goods instead of added to the price, or - Have an option, just like the account transaction form, where an income entry can have VAT included as part of the price. e.g. Bananas 10.00 VAT / Sales Tax 0.91 instead of Bananas 9.09 VAT / Sales Tax 0.91 Thanks Tag: Money 2005-GST/VAT Tag: 178816

    - 2003 Performance I upgraded in March 2004 from Money 98 to Money 2003. I was able to copy 3-4 years of transactions across, but had to setup all my Direct Debits again. Money went fine until the beginning of this year, but since then the performance has been gradually getting worse and it now takes 30 seconds to amend or add a new transaction. I have tried archiving as suggested in other posts and also tried changing settings again suggested in other posts but it has made no difference. Can anyone suggest anything?     - unique problem importing qif statements I'm having a problem that no one else seems to have addressed in this forum. I use my CheckCard as a debit card when I can, but many stores only support credit card transactions. For all the credit card transactions, Money truncates the text for the transaction in the qif file, so that for each entry it only gets through the first 15 characters or so. In my bank's system, that only contains the date and "EFT TRANS"-- nothing about the vendor. So when I import I get a statement that looks like this: EFT TRANS 10102004 EFT TRANS 10102004 EFT TRANS 10102004 EFT TRANS 10102004 The vendor names all come after the date but Money never sees this. Debit card transactions work fine because the vendor name is listed first. Is there a way to fix this so I don't have to go through and change the vendor name for each credit card transaction?     - Early withdrawal from IRA I using IRS Rule 72(t) to pull money from an IRA to my checking account. How should I set this up? Money 2002 shows the withdrawal as an expense (transaction downloaded from Fidelity), which really warps my Reports, since it is unclassified. Should it instead be treated as a transfer from IRA to checking? If I do that, Money doesn't allow me to classify it as an early IRA withdrawal (for tax purposes).     - Cannot match downloaded transactions When my transactions download from MSN to Money 2005, I have no option to match existing transactions in my register. This worked fine in 2004, but now everything downloads with the payee info in the notes field and I have no option to match that with anything that I have already entered (or automatically entered bills, etc.).     - reconciling account Hi - fairly new to Money (05) and I think I dont understand how the whole reconciliation thing is supposed to work. Example - I write a check to someone for 123.45 and I go into the register and record it. Several days later the bank cashes it, Money downloads it and asks me if I want to match these 2 transactions. I do - so I hit accept. Looks good, till the next time Money gets an update from the bank and it asks me to match it again. And again, and again..... What makes the match stick for good? Am I doing something wrong?     - Matching or accepting of downloaded transactions in 05 I FINALLY got my accounts to sync correctlyin Money 2005, however there seems to be no option for transaction matching or accepting of downloaded transactions in the register. I always enter my transactions manally as my bank is a little too slow (IMHO) in posting transactions. In Money 04, when I downloaded transactions (via MSN Money) it would try to match transactions I already had with the downloaded ones. If one didn't match automatically, you could easily make it. I have a checking account and a Visa card at the same bank. Both are setup to download transactions. After I balance the Credit Card account I'm asked If I want to pay, then I fill out the form using xfer ast the type of transaction, after I press submit I get the following message pop-up: "In order to enter and online transfer, both accounts must be at the sam bank and set up for direct statements." Is there something else I need to do with these accounts? Q2) UI Problem Sometimes the first column (Account) on the Account List page disapears. I can only see the "Last Updated", "To Review", "Bank Balance" and "Adj.Balance" Fields. I have to restart Money to get it back.     - Printing Laser Standard checks in M2005 Apparently something was "fixed" in Money 2005 that wasn't broken in Money 2004. Using "Laser Standard" as the check type, the line on my checks that prints the amount in words (e.g., "Twenty-seven and 34/100******") does not extend across the width of the check anymore. Depending on the amount of the check, that line might extend anywhere from 25% - 65% across the width of the check, leaving a noticeable gap. This is the first version of Money where this has occurred (at least for me). Money Support determined that "this is how the product works".     - Money SB 2004 - Payments as line-items on an invoice I am new to this and I am trying to create an invoice for my customer. I am charging them $300 and they have already paid the deposit of $75. How do I get this to show up on an invoice? Or how do I get line items to show up on the Customer Statement?     - Money 2003 won't load Yesterday when I loaded money it gave me a popup with an offer for an upgrade to Money 2005. I tried to accept the offer. but when I was about to complete the offer I noticed it had an old email address. This was the email address that was in MS Passport. I no longer have the ISP that is associated with that email address. I didn't want to complete the transaction since I wouldn't be able to receive emain at that address. So I went to MS passport and tried to change it. It wouldn't let me change it so I deleted that passport account and made a new passport account with my current email address. When I tried to load money, it wouldn't load because it said "The sign-in name you entered is not associated with this file". I tried using the new email address I had created, it wouldn't load. I used the old email address, it wouldn't load. I tried disabling the internet and using the old name, it still wouldn't load.     - Can you connect to E*Trade brokerage account I'm a new Money 2005 user and I have successfully been able set up my online accounts except one, E*Trade. I keep getting the message "Your accounts couldn't be updated with infromation from your bank or brokerage". Called Microsoft and they blame E*Trade, called E*Trade and they didn't even know Money 2005 was out already. Is anyone else experiencing this?     - 2005 Update Retirement Account Problem I am having the same problem as discussed in a post on 10/5. Has anyone else seen this or know of a solution?
