Anyone else using MS Money 2006 Deluxe on a Windows ME platform??

Does anyone have any idea why this keeps locking up my computer?? I
have tons of memory. I have a memory manager installed.

I did discover that this thing was trying to get current market info --
I disabled that.

I do not have direct access to my bank -- they're not up-to-speed yet.

Any other ideas why this thing locks up near the beginning of the
program opening??

Thanks.

Barbara

You say you have "Memory Problems". What is the indication of Memory
Problems?

It freezes. The whole thing locks up. Can't even do a C/A/D. Have to
shut the power off.

Happened 4 times in a row just before I wrote this message. (Driving
me bonkers.)

I've even tried sitting there patiently twiddling my thumbs for 5
minutes while it loads up. It'll still freeze up eventually.

Thanks.

I think that you may saying that there is no indication that you
have a memory problem. Even so, you might want to check the resource
monitor of Windows ME to see if you are running out of GDI memory.

You might check the setting described in method 2 of
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316863/en-us , but I think you are
perhaps getting farther along than that KB article describes.

Thanks. Checked both settings and they're OK.

Thanks. I removed the memory manager and MM works better now. Still
like a slug on a tranquilizer but at least it doesn't lock up anymore.
I had installed the memory manager before I installed this version of
MM. I think I'll try again now that my software all installed. Seems
like I need a different memory configuration. Thanks for you
help--helped track down where the problem was.
