I'm using Money 2006 Deluxe Trial version. I had tried to setup online
access to a couple of accounts, with no luck. (the financial institutions do
not offer, although Money2006 walked me through the grueling process.) So I
then just deleted those specific accounts, but when I update my other
accounts it recreates these accounts as says the same error about how Money
cannot logon. WHY? I don't want it to attempt to access this closed and
deleted accounts! I've managed online services, and after I delete these
accounts they dissappear from teh online service page, only to reappear after
an update of other accounts. Is this just a TRIAL thing? Any solutions
would be greatly appreciated!

From "Manage Online Services", did you disable online services for the
accounts before you closed them? If not, do this for the re-created accounts
and then close them.

Thanks for the Response JB. I tried what you said and started money, only
to have it upload the two accounts i keep deleting. Unfortunantly when I see
them under Manage Online Service, they are headed under the "You haven't set
up online account yet, press here to complete setup."

I guess the big question is how do I get Money to stop setting up these
accounts when I update other accounts.

Geesh,

Meaning that it doesn't give me the option to cancel online operations for
these accounts.

Considering that money implies you haven't completed setup were you still
able to tell it to stop using online services for those accounts? I would
assume you can't disable something that hasn't been completed yet. Is "press
here to complete setup" the only option you are given or does your response
imply you were able to tell it to stop using online services for these
accounts (but then they came back)?

If your only option is to "complete setup" and you have a recent backup
before you tried to setup these accounts, it may be easier to restore from
that point. Otherwise, you may have to troubleshoot the setup problem to
completion and then, assuming you still want to close them, disable online
services and close.

Fixed it! I didn't even realize I was syncing information to MSN money in
the past. Everytime I updated current accounts it added the ones from MSN.
Just had to remove all MSN data through a special link then PRESTO!

That sucks though, seems like there should be a filter that prevents this
from happening.

Glad to see you've got it sorted!

One of the reasons I abandoned MSN syncing a few years back. The problems
were more of a hassle than it was worth.
