Money 2001 was delivered w/my computer. When I try to open
the application I get this error: "The DLL
file 'C:\...mpcont.dll cannot be loaded. It may have been
removed or become corrupted....' Since I don't have a
Money disk to run Setup (I think) I'd have to use the
System Restore CD and what a pain that is! Any ideas out
there? If I download the trial version of 2004 would that
convert (and repair) my 2001 file? I have a lot of stuff
in that file that isn't backed up (my bad!)
Thanks,
Janet

Try opening another Money file. If you haven't removed it, the Sample Money
file should be present in the directory that Money is installed to. If that
also returns the error, installing Money 2004 may do the trick, but you'll
have to purchase the full version once the trial expires. If Money 2001
came with your computer, you should have been provided a disk. You may want
to call your computer manufacturer. If those calls will be a charge to you,
your cheapest option probably would be to go out and buy Money 2004.
