I got an new Dell LT and it had Money 2004 installed. I
did setup my accounts there and everything was working for
me until I started my RRSP accounts. I found out that
everything was designed for the US (TAX-Accounting
system). I am looking every where but I can't find a Money
2004 Canadian version.
Can I use the same license to just convert to the canadian
version of the software? I don't really need the US one.

Thanks

Money Standard takes its cue from the regional settings as to
whether to change to Canadian mode or US mode. Unfortunately it does
not change the terminology. So you might end up calling your RSSP a
401k if from your employer or IRA if independent. Sigh.

The big thing that changes is the basis calculation. In Canadian
mode, Money calculates basis by averaging across all holdings of
the same security without regard to which account it is. Thus people
who have their own stock/fund holdings that are probably better to
not share a Money file. I don't understand all of the ramifications,
by any means.
