Money 2002 Standard Investment Watch feature
Hello,
I currentley have Money 2002 Standard. I had used
previous versions of Money with the Investment Watch
feature but this version dosn't have it. I have checked
help and it tells me how to get to it (Go to investments,
click potfolio, click add new account and choose
investment watch)but when I try, the option is not
available. Is this the wrong version or what? Someone let
me know.

In my transaction view, after connecting to my Bank, I usually have items
that show up in my transactions list based on how many items were
downloaded. I have 8 Items for Review, but they do not show up in the

Money 2003- Events won't show-up on reports
Hello group,
I am using MS Money 2003 Deluxe... for many years I have owned sheres
in "Company A", recently I decided to diversify my portfolio and
purchased shares of "Mutual Fund A", "Mutual Fund B", and "Company B".
Now the price history report has always (and currently does) show the
buy and split events for "Company A". The problem lies with "Mutual
Fund A", "Mutual Fund B", and "Company B", their buy events do not
show-up on the report. I have zoomed all the way out to All Dates, and
can see the buy and split events for "Company A", but there are just
price change lines for "Mutual Fund A", "Mutual Fund B", and "Company
B".
Your assistance in helping to resolve this matter would be most
appreciated,

Can't log-on to Money 2003 [XP]
Once again, get the message: "The sign-in attempt
for ... was unsuccessful. Please try your sign-in name
and password again." This was happening before the server
updates a few days ago were supposed to fix it. Worked
for a couple days, now the same old problem. My sign-in
name and password are correct because I can sign-in
at .Net Passport. Suggestions are appreciated.

Converting from Money 2001 to Money 2004
I have a friend who was using Money 2001 and it was
working just fine. He decided to get Money 2004 Small
Business edition. We installed the software, but when we
try to open his old data from Money 2001, an error
messages pops up and says that the file was created on a
non compatible version. Does anyone have any clues on

balances don't match
Hi anyone have an idea how to resolve this:
I have an investment account set up with an associated
cash account...which is baqsically used as a checking
account. It is setup with online update via Schwab.
The actual balance of the account matches the balance on
the "cash transactions" page of the account register.
But my "net worth" report and the home page show the
balance as significantly lower (thousands of dollars) and
when my balance is low, it even shows negative... all the
while the register still shows the accurate balance.

Importing categories
Hi all,
Well, I've been simplistic in my usage of M2K. I want to start using
the paycheck feature to break out the details of my paycheck. Yes,
yes. I should've done that from the get-go rather than putting in my
net. The same goes to my 401K when I used to contribute (future
questions on that).
I've noticed that when I started a new file to see the default
categories, they're different from my own .mny file where I created
additional categories and sub-categories, plus I deleted the default
ones that I didn't think were useful (bad me).
Is there an easy way to get the old default categories w/o me having
to re-enter tons of data again? I tried exporting my data. There's
also a bug because I can't export just one account and play with that
instead. Rather it exports everything to a surprisingly small file
(17K only!). If I recreate the categories, is there anything I need to
watch out for
Or should I just start a new file and start fresh, and slowly re-enter
my old data as time allows so long as have the whole year by the end
of the year.

I've re-installed twice and still cannot get charts to
print under lifetime planner when I attempt to print the
entire plan. I can print charts individually but they do
not print with the entire plan. Any ideas? I have also
gone through the process to change print quality to

XML or CSV E-mail
When trying to create invoices estimates etc.; My options
for sending to a E-mail recepient is limited to 'Text' I
know that is can send as an XML but the options are not
available. I am using outlook 2000 with HTML mail
support, and word is the default E-mail editor. I have
spent some time trying to locate any settings that would

Principal and Interest Calculation
I setup a loan in Money 2004 and, based on the principal and interest
calculations shown in the amortization schedule, it appears that Money is
using the actual number of days between due dates to determine the portions
of the payment that are principal and interest, which of course varies
depending on the number of days in the month. However, my bank calculates
the principal/interest split based on a standard 30-day month (360 day
year). Is there a way to have Money use this type of amortization schedule

I have a trial version of Money running on my PC
currently. I purchase a retail version of Money Small
Business. However, when I try to install it, it tells me
that I have to uninstall previous versions of money. I
can't figure out how to uninstall the trial version.

can't convert previous version of money file?
I was running Money 2000 for a years and, now I'd like to
run Money 2003 with my old data(file), but I can't. Reason
for that is when I open Money 20003 and try to upgrade or
convert a file, Money is giving me an error;
"File was created in incompatible version,can't open money
file".I don't wan't to start all over again.with entering
my data.
Is that a bug in a program or some trick to conver a file?

Money expense scheduling problem
I'm using money 2003 standard at home, and I am unable to schedule a
reocurring bill every three weeks. They have a multitude of choices
available, but not one for that, nor any "custom" schedule.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might be able to schedule this?
Would I be able to do this in 2004?
In case anyone is wondering, we get groceries every three weeks and that's
why I need the three weeks option - am I the only person that has ever had a
reocurring bill for three weeks? I must be special...

Need to convert 2002 back t0 while laptop is fixed
My laptop with Money 2002 died and had to be sent in for
service which will probably be about a month. The good
news is that I backup up all my data files the day before
and burned them to CD. My office machine is running
Windows 98 SE and Money 2001 but it will not read the
2002 files. I can't install XP because the machine will
not support it.
I used a friend's machine and can open my backup file but
I don't want to leave my financial data there. Is there
some way I can transfer the data to Excel or save it in a
backwardly compatible format? I tried to synchronise to
the Web but even after downloading the upgrade it doesn't
seem to work. I basically just need my checkbook
registers. I couldn't find a way to print just the
registers?
Can anyone think of a good workaround until I get my
laptop back?

I just upgraded to PocketPC 2003. Is there a patch for

Wells Fargo bank download
Forgive me for being upset, but this is CRAP !! In M2002 and M2003 there was
a problem with listing separate checks and when the transaction downloaded
and I checked off the parts of that deposit it seemed fine. But then every
day after that the gross amount would re-download until I made adjustments
that literally screwed my accounting to make it stop. I posted here 4 times,
sent 2 support requests to MS and 2 to Wells Fargo. Typically the big guys
blamed each other. Now in M2004 it's the same problem! Don't you think in 3

Payees
When I download my statement the payees all appear as POS
purchases, EFT withdrawals, etc and not the actual
payees,they are only appearing in the memo section.
When I do the reports to find out where my money is going
it will not find it unless I manually change all the
payees to the proper names. (Quicken would use the
proper names in the payee section)
Is there something I don't have set up properly or is
this just the way the program works.

Canadian download
Hi,
I posted this same question Sept 13 and I cannot open the
messages anymore, even the new ones that I have not
looked at so sorry but I need to repost my question.
I bought the Cdn version of MM 2004 so that I can
directly download into Money 2004 but there seems that
there are no Canadian banks that have allowable download
capabilitities (even though my credit union has a
download to microsoft money capability) it will not let
me do that. The only way that I have been able to
download is to save it to a disk and open it as an .ofc
file. I was able to do this with my old MM program so I
don't know why they are calling it a CDN version when
the only bank it seems to support is Presidents Choice
Financial and that may not even be the CDN version of the
banking system.

Money 2002 Cash Flow Forecast
Hello. I've been using Money 2002 for about a year and
last week I encountered a problem with the cash flow
forecast. When I go to various account registers, I can
see my forecast down at the bottom of the window.
However, I can't get to the cash flow page. Also, my
primary checking account register shows the cash flow
chart, but says I have $0 now and that there will be no
other upcoming activity. When I try to access the cash
flow page in any way, whether by clicking on the little
chart in my registers or using the button in my toolbar,
nothing happens. I'm guessing the problem is related to
the primary checking account.
I tried restarting my computer several times, and also
tried to run the Money repair command, but nothing has
helped. Has anyone else run into this problem?

The "Skip This Occurrence" Button
Hello everyone. Just asking for a little help.
During the month of September, I entered a monthly
deposit into the "scheduled bills and deposit" section of
Microsoft Money 2003 scheduled for October 1, 2003. But,
then, I decided to exclude that deposit for the month of
October and include it in November. So, I used the "Skip
This Occurrence" button.
Much to my surprise, the deposit I excluded for October
still showed up on the income section of the "review your
current budget status" menu for the month of October. In
addition, I noticed that if I kept adding a deposit
scheduled for October 1st and then skipping that
occurrence, the income section would continue to increase
in the "review your current budget status" menu for the
month of October rather than go to zero. I think that
this is a bug.
Or, if someone could enlighten me as to why the amount
continues to be reported in the budget even though I have
skipped its occurrence for the month, I would appreciate
it. Thanks.

two people using money
There are two people using one computer. They want to each
plan theit budget,etc. and not have the other person abel
to see what each other is doing. Dose a password make it
so they can not see what the other is doing for budget or
bills,etc.
