    - Money 2007 Check Writing I have downloaded Money 2007 Trial Version to see if it will work with my Bank. (My Bank will not support Quicken 2005) Hence I'm not currently using online checking. I'm trying to figure out how to enter a non-recurring check to be printed at a future date.     - Keeping Accounts Seperate in Reports I have Money 2001. I want to set-up an account for my mother's checking account which I now manage, but not have her income/expenses mixed in with mine when I look at various reports such as budget, spending etc. I had set-up my parent's joint account before my father died and it always mixed their information in with mine.     - Money 2007 - Where is the memo field? I downloaded the trial for Money 2007 Essentials. I used Money 2002 for a long time and I plan on purchasing 2007. However, I cannot find any memo field for entering transactions. I cannot believe they would have taken out the ability to write a memo about each transaction you enter. It seems so necessary. I understand they still have category, but I need to write a small reminder or note about each transaction. I looked in the help for "memo" and found nothing.     - Online account updates I am using the Money Deluxe 2007 trial and I have my account set up so that it is supposed to automatically download account updates every day.     - Net worth over time report is blank Upgraded from 2002 to 2007 and this report no longer works. It will show the date range I specify but with no data. The Net Worth report (no graph) works for both past and present dates, but not the Over Time graph I already reset the report settings and deleted all my favorites. I created a new test.mny file and the report works fine so there is something wrong with my data. I have already tried both repair options, quick and standard. Any ideas?     - Banks Droping Money Direct Connect Feature I have had a couple of banks that I have done business with stop supporting the direct bill pay from within Microsoft Money. In looking for a bank to support this feature I have had at least one (Wachovia) say they do offer that feature but are now no longer signing up new customers for that service. As you all know it is a waste of time to enter the bills on a web site and then do it again in MS Money. Who still offers this service (I am in Texas and prefer a local bank but am willing to do something online if that is what it takes).     - Portfolio Manager won't show daily change of value for mutual funds I am still using Money Premium 2006. I would like to know if the following problem (feature?) is observed by other folks, either in M2006 or M2007. The Portfolio Manager has columns "Change" and "TotChng." The former is the change in price, per share, of a security for one day. The latter is, roughly speaking, "Change" multiplied by the number of shares held. I don't remember which of these columns is visible by default. I have chosen to view create of these columns in the "custom" view of my Portfolio Manager. My problem is that for mutual funds, the value reported in the "TotChng" column is always blank. Not zero, just a blank space.     - Re-creating loan payments after "nuking-the-bills" Hi, I've read many threads about this "nuke-the-bills" process, and since I suffered poor performance issues since several versions ago, I decided to give it a try. I used M2007 trial version, and performance has increased considerably!! Start up time is much shorter, and normal operations run also faster. But I have an issue... The lifetime planner section is duplicating the loan payments. I could not find the way to re-create the loan payment bills, so I created them as new bills. When I did, and I set the category as "loan payment : xxx act", it recognized it very nicely! Number of remaining payments, split of principal + interests showing as "calculated values"... it looked too good to be true! Well, it seems that those bills are now part of my "living expenses" in the lifetime planner, although they are also included in the loans&debt section. I am letting the lifetime planner to get the living expenses from my budget, and I would like to leave it like that. I wonder if it is so because of the way I re-created the loan payments...     - How do I change my business name in Money 2007? I installed Money 2007 and initially put in a business name that I'm trying to change now. I click on Business, and I go to Account settings and I change the name there. This changes it everywhere except for on the invoices that I print.     - not updating quotes for ticker QQQQ? For the past six weeks, at least, using Money 2004 I have to manually go in each day and add the closing price for the NASDAQ 100 Trust (symbol = QQQQ).     - Money 2007: Online Updates I have recently switched from Money 2005 UK to 2007 US. Glyn Simpson pointed me to a solution to a planner problem, and since then all has been well. However, (a) last week my Passport/Windows Live userid/password stopped working for a few hours (but worked fine on MSN, Hotmail, etc.) and then (b) online updates of prices and exchange rates stopped working. The Passport problem has disappeared, but the prices/exchange rate problem remains. However, I am able to successfully update my US bank accounts and the MSN Money My Account updates are also working. The message for Quotes, News, and Exchange Rates simply says that I am unable to connect to the quotes server. Using that server via the Excel MSN Money Quotes Add-In works fine. Any hints?     - PING: Dick Watson Dick, I use M04 and direct download statements from 2 banks with five accounts and 1 broker with two accounts into my M04 accounts. All works well. I do not use a Passport and I'm happy with this procedure. After reading reviews on M07 I'm not clear on whether I will still be able to direct download my accounts into M07 unless I use the "Windows Live" (formerly Passport) procedure.     - Can't balance with missing check numbers I've been using MS Money 2003 for a long time now and this is about the first glitch I've ever seen. I'm trying to balance my checking account and I have a gap between checks 300 and 351 where I discarded a pack of checks my bank sent me because they had the wrong info on them. Would this cause Money to refuse to go further when I click the Next button to take me to my reconcilation page? After I've entered the beginning and ending balance for the period and then click Next, it just won't do anything. Do I have to list 49 checks, all saying *VOID* to make it work?     - Chart date order This is weird. In 2007, if I display a chart for a payee (double click on a payee from the payee list), the chart sorts from left to right, with the most recent on the right, as it always has. But if now display a chart for a catagory, the chart now sorts from right to left, with the most recent on the left. That had me confused for some time before I noticed the date order change.     - Selecting Investments or Payees In M2003, if I were viewing a Payee or an Investment, next to the identifier for the particular Payee or Investment there would be a triangle. Selecting that triangle would bring up a navigation window to allow one to quickly jump to another Payee or Investment. I do not see this for either in M2007. Furthermore, I do not see any simple method of jumping to an investment that does not appear in the Portfolio Manager. HELP has been unrewarding. Suggestions?     - Money '06 - Credit Card Payment/Transfer???? Why does money categorize a transfer from my checking account to my savings account as an expense. The help window says to select the Credit Card Payment/Transfer category but this still records the transfer transaction as an expense. For example, If I move $500 from my checking to my savings account, my monthly report will show that I earned $500 in additional income and spent $500 in additional expense.     - Want to go back to MS Money 2000 from 2006 I bought a new computer with Money 2006 already installed on it (OEM-Standard). I own MS Money 2000. When I transferred the files from the old computer and opened it with new the version of Money it seemed to be less user-friendly but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I found out I am missing key features (forecasting balances, showing what the new balance will be when highlighting an item in bill summary, how categories are handled). These far outweight the 1 nice feature I found of showing a calendar at the bottom of the bills summary. I loaded MS Money 2000 on the computer. I can't open the MS Money 2006 file, it keeps giving me a password prompt even though I know for sure I'm enterring the correct one. My CD backup of the money data from the old computer is corrupt so I can't use it as a restore. (I would have gladly entered the last transactions again in the old version of money because I'm not sure I would like this version even if I doled out the extra cost to upgrade).     - money 2007 account setupas Hello, I have Money 2006 and 2007. I am trying to setup my accounts fresh in 2007. So far I have one credit card account setup and I have my personal checking account with bank "a". When I try to add a second business checking account also with bank "a" it wants my online update login info. I don't have any and it wont proceed without it. If I give it my Windows Live info it just says it couldn't login and ends the setup. Is there some setting I can change to get Money 2007 to just let me setup my accounts manually?
