Will the newest version of Money support and accept
previous versions files? I used Money 98 and will be
purchasing Money 2003 (or 04), but want to make sure that
my old file will be compatible. Any ideas?

Thanks!

For files from the same localization (i.e., Money for US), M03 and M04 are
absolutely designed to accept any older version file for upgrade. M03 had
more problems than previous versions based on reports here. M04 seems to be
able to upgrade some problems that M03 had problems with, again, based on
reports here.

There is a time-limited trial version of M04 available at
http://www.microsoft.com/money.

If you try this route, two pieces of advice:

1) Read and heed the messages about the file upgrade process. Keep a path
backwards.

2) If you start with the trial version, do not upgrade it on line. Go buy
the CD. Saves lots of hassles and assures you can reinstall whenever you
want with nothing more than the CD.
