I'm new to this group and need some help.
I use Money2002 (not "Pro") and can't get any answers to questions from
the Money Help feature.

I entered three checks pre-dated 12-13-04 and it appeared all was OK, as
usual. I can't remember why I did this but suddenly all three checks were
gone from the register. I recall trying to use the Control key (iirc, to
get to the end of the entries).
Anyway, my next entry of a check used the check number that was called for
and was entered OK.

I figured that I probably pressed some shortcut key
or combination that caused whatever it was that made this happen. I can
not find out how to undo this error of mine.

I hope someone knows the solution to my problem.
Any help or suggestions would really be appreciated.

Check to make sure they are not shown in All transactions view--maybe they
are reconciled and you are in unreconciled view. Check also the sort order.
You might try entry order just in case they got a strange date somehow.

Dick, thanks so much for your help! The "missing" checks are found and back
where they should be.

You used two words that helped me so much: "view" and "transactions".
Before asking this group for help, I had tried to find a View entry on the
Money screen but didn't do so. Once I found the "Show transaction forms"
check box I happened to look to the left and saw the "View" drop down area.

From there on it was a journey of discovery! Boy, did I find out a lot more
about MS Money. By selecting View and setting up for 1) sort by number, 2)
current month, and 3) all transactions, the checks appeared again.

I still don't know what caused them to disappear but I think I've gained new
resources for trouble shooting future problems.

Thanks again for your help.

Glad I could help. Thanks for the feedback.

Check for an R ("reconciled") or a C ("cleared") in the field out between
payee and amount. If you just entered these transactions, there should
probably be neither. If you find either, consider selecting the transaction,
and from the context menu (menu key or right-click), investigating the Mark
as... choices.
