Dick, thanks so much for your help! The "missing" checks are found and back
where they should be.
You used two words that helped me so much: "view" and "transactions".
Before asking this group for help, I had tried to find a View entry on the
Money screen but didn't do so. Once I found the "Show transaction forms"
check box I happened to look to the left and saw the "View" drop down area.
From there on it was a journey of discovery! Boy, did I find out a lot more
about MS Money. By selecting View and setting up for 1) sort by number, 2)
current month, and 3) all transactions, the checks appeared again.
I still don't know what caused them to disappear but I think I've gained new
resources for trouble shooting future problems.
Thanks again for your help.
Jay D
