Can the geniuses at Microsoft explain to me how I can set up a single account
for online services with my bank AND MSN BillPay? Although the account
merging requirement is the one of he most moronic pieces of crap the idiots
as Microsoft have dumped out in a while, in theory I can merge a newly
created online account with an existing non-online account and have been able
to do so mostly by giving it my right arm. But when I also want to use
billpay with this account, billpay creates yet another online account - and
now my original acocunt is also an online account - so I cannot merge billpay
with this. Way to go genius!

Anybody care to explain this?

Actually an MSN Bill Pay account is considered "offline" for the purposes of
Merging Accounts.

Money problems driving me to Quicken by Twitch

Thanks for the post. If that is so - it is good news and I can still consider
continuing to use Money and not go to Quicken. I currently use 2004 and
checked the 2005 and 2006 versions - and they both had this problem - I have
to admit I have not checked 2007 or 2008 - gave up after being burned twice.

The next stumbling block is that in 2005 and 2006, the only way to use MSN
BillPay directly from Money was to synchronize ALL my accounts with MSN. If I
chose not to put all my financial info on the MSN website, I could not access
billpay directly from within the Monay application. Is this still the case?

Also have the problems with merging investment accounts been resolved?

Thanks for any help you can provide

You do not need to use a Windows Live ID to access MSN Bill Pay within Money
2007 or Plus (hence no need to sync)

But you may need to contact MSN Bill Pay (CheckFree) in order to get the
Subscriber ID to use in Money (since it likely will not be the same ID you
use to sign into http://billpay.msn.com
