MM02 inists on changing the payee for downloaded transactions. How do I
stop it from doing this?

Let me try to explain better...

I have a bill set up for my ISP. This is for $24.95 and is from AT&T. This
is auto-entered.

I also rent cars and get charged $24.95 by my credit card provider for
insurance. This is NOT set up as a bill.

Money insists on matching Insurance payments to AT&T payments and then
entering AT&T payments as new transactions. Why does it not match against
the payee?

Thanks

you might find that the payee rules manager has a match with the incorrect
category and payee. You should go to the payees section and then to the
payee rules manager and delete any incorrect matching..

Where do I find the Payee Rules Manager? I am using MM02 Std - no sign of
any rules manager and no help on the Payees page.

Thanks

Richard

Sorry, it's not in 2002. It's in 2003 or later. I don't think you can change
the matching in 2002.

I 2002 you can turn off the matching. Since I no longer have 2002
installed I do not remember the exact location but look in the tools/options
