I want to use this software like you would Quickbooks - input your checks and
deposits one by one, clear them as they clear, and then have a report of
where my money is going. (rent, groceries, etc...) The problem is, I don't
want to pay my bank $10 or whatever a month to synchronize with MS Money when
I can input the information myself. I have tried and tried and I can't
figure it out. Is there any way to manually put in all the info without
synchronizing with my bank online?

Yes. Go to the account list, and select the account. You could also
create a shortcut to take you directly to that account in the
future.

Into the register, enter your checks. I suggest un-ticking or
ticking the box to use transaction forms. See which way seems more
natural to you.

If you manually want to clear transactions, you can right-click (or
use Ctrl+M)

Tear up a check? You could Void it as a right-click choice.

You can use the balance process to clear and reconcile, or you can
do it all manually.

I also suggest expanding the register from single-line mode using
Ctrl+T. It's a toggle, so you can go back if you like the other way
better.

Manually can include going to bank web site and downloading ofx file for
selected time period. It's free and matches up well with your previously
manually input checks. To me it's the natural way of doing it, the right
balance of control, speed, and frugality.

It does require going to site, selecting the account, specifying the time
period and clicking the download link, all of which takes 10 seconds. Money
handles the rest. Be advised some Money purists vehemently denounce the
process and lambaste the banks for not providing the service gratis. To
each is own.

Thanks!!! That helped!! I downloaded the info from my bank, but I can only
see 3 months worth in my check register in Money. So when I try to classify
each expense, I can only do it for the last 3 months. Is there any way to
see all expenses? I see a button that says you can choose to see the last 30
days, last 3 months, or all, but when I choose all, it only shows me 3 months.

Another obvious answer would be to change banks. There are many banks that
provide this service for no fee.
