MVP's -- Money 2004 Deluxe Freezes on Update Now (OPS: Windows XP)

I hope someone can help me. I installed Money 2004 Deluxe on Windows XP, and
when ever I click on Internet Updates, then Update now money freezes.
Task Manager Status is NOT RESPONDING. When I click end task This is what
the data error report contains.

I'm not an MVP, so don't take my word for it, but it's likely the app is not
responding because it's busy waiting to time out on getting the updates. If
you leave it alone for a long time--maybe an hour or more--it will probably
come back. Likewise, if you disable the connections, say disconnect the
dial-up connection from the status try icon just like you normally end an
online session, it will timeout immediately. Either method might be
preferable in terms of exposure to file corruption, et al. But don't take my
word for it, I'm not an MVP.
