Hello,

After Upgrading to Money 2005 I was prompted to Stop
Using MSN Bill Pay in order to setup online accounts.
After setting up Online accounts I am unable to get MSN
Bill Pay to work with Money.

I also Went out to the MSN Bill Pay web site and tried to
log in. It's as if my acount has been deleted or
deactivated. The web site lets me log in with my ID and
password, but once in it prompts me to sign up for MSN
Bill pay. Has onyone else had this problem? Do I have
to create a new MSN Bill Pay account to use with Money
2005? If so, what about my past bill history - is that
gone? I've sent 2 messages to Microssoft support with no
response as of yet.

Thanks,
Randy

If you've had different Passports (email addresses), then that may be the
problem. The first thing to confirm is that you are using the Passport that
you had used to set up MSN Bill Pay in the first place.
Or if you deleted/canceled or reset your Passport, it's possible that may
have caused it to lose the information that it had Bill Pay associated to
it.

If it wasn't simply the wrong Passport, you should try calling MSN Bill Pay
support. The phone number is in the Cancel Bill Pay help topic on the MSN
Money web-site.

If you cancelled MSN Billpay, then I would expect that
you would have to sign up again before you would be able
to use it. It would be nice if Money would do that for
you, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Call MSN BillPay directly and they'll walk you thru straightening out
your problem. I too had the same issues you are reporting and after 8+
hours of trying to figure the thing out, I called my bank - no luck
there. Then I call Microsoft - no luck there either. Just call
877-800-4873 and explain the situation. BTW, the bad news is you'll
need to change you password to MSN BillPay. Also, they no longer offer
the 2 years of MSN BillPay for free with Money 2005, so once your
freebie expires, you'll then have to pay to use it.

MSNBill Pay not working after Upgrading to Money 2005 by Bob

If you upgrade to Money 05 and then choose to 'access
your data on the web' you will be prompted to disable the
MSN Bill pay service within Money 05 (not to be confused
with actually un-enrolling from the service). If you do
this and then complete the process of 'accessing your
data on the web' the bill pay service will be redected
and reactivated within Money 05.

Did you disable the service in Money 05 or actually dis-
enroll from the service? The former would not remove any
of your data from the web while the later would which
could be why you have the problem described.
