Is there a way to get a loan principal transfer to appear as an expense in an
income and expense report (similar to the loan interest expense)?
Technically I suppose this is really a balance sheet transfer not an expense,
but since my life operates on a cash not accrual basis, to me the interest +
principal is effectively an expense.

I have a similar issue with the spending by category report, but I'm
guessing the answer is the same.

Thanks, Steve

I meant to state that I'm using Money Plus Deluxe (17.0.120.727)

It turns out there is an easy way to do this: When setting up an income and
expense report select "Include transactions to or from accounts that aren't
in the report" on the "Rows & Columns" tab.

Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

I'm also using the same version of Money as you do, but I don't see the
option you on the Rows&Column" tab or any other tab.

I'm referring to the option "Include transaction to or from accounts that
aren't in the report". Can you elaborate some more?

Select "Reports" tab.
Select "Monthly Income and Expenses" report.
Select "Customize..."
Select "Rows & Columns" tab.

And there it is. This options doesn't seem to be available in other
variants of the income and expense report.
